Our tour guide Harry was really nice. He was very attentive to our needs and assisted us for the tour. The water puupet show was great and the dinner was also nice in the restaurant.

Guide arrived early. We were picked up in a coaster with other passengers, probably from another tour. We were dropped off just outside the lake where we walked the rest of the way to the theater. Show itself is a matter of personal preference so I won’t comment on that. But the tour would have been 5 stars if we were given an option to sit at the ground floor instead of the balcony where it was a bit uncomfortable getting a good view. Dinner was excellent and very filling. We were brought as well to the night market after. We went to the egg coffee shop. Place was jam-packed and we could barely sit down. We were brought back to the hotel in the coaster but we were not dropped off right in front, had to walk a bit.
Peter was on time. Friendly and cheerful young man. We were very pleased with his service. We enjoyed the water puppet show and sitting down along the roadside chit chatting and drinking the peach tea.
The show was nice and the dinner was something different from the usual. Anyone who is going for the show I do recommend the dinner too. Maybe pay a bit more but is worth it.
Tour itself was fun, especially the water puppet, and the traditional coffee shop to drink coffee and tea. But the dinner was average, only served us local fish (I wished they serve more variety/spread with smaller portions of each dish). Tour guide (Luan I think) is very prompt and can speak English. However, i wish he is more attentive and flexible (eg. It started to rain the moment we stepped out of the hotel, and we still continue and ended up stranded in the middle of the journey in a narrow sheltered area. If he can just let us stay in the hotel and wait for the rain to stop, we can avoid being drenched. Unless the rain continue non stop, it’s justifiable to start walking after waiting 30 mins later). But on the way back, he still did a great job in helping us to communicate wth the fruit seller(as we wanted to buy fruits) and ensuring that we reached back to the hotel safely.

What a bad trip! One person spent 1,182 TWD to see the water puppet show. The live tickets were only 100000vnd, NT$130 only, and the performance time was about 40 minutes. The individual did not like it very much and Vietnamese did not understand it; Restaurant, said what grilled fish meal, only sent 5 or 6 pieces of small fish, some vegetables under the bottom shop, and then another noodle dry, so, no, asked the tour guide how such a simple meal, the tour guide do not know how Answered, only said that no one will attend this trip next time. I only went to North Vietnam for only 5 days. I bought this trip, wasting my money and wasting my time is not worth it.

Probably my favourite tour in Hanoi! Our tour guide, Ha(?) was very friendly and warm and helpful. She took us to this shop which served lemon tea and it was delicious! We had fun watching the water puppet show. The dinner afterwards was the real gem. Food and drinks were GREAT. Ha then walked us back to our hotel. A lovely night indeed.
My was an excellent guide! Felt like a local for the night. Food, show, drinks everything was so much fun! Would do again and recommend to others!
