Review for: Classic Kaiseki Lunch Set with Reservation

Another Klook up-charge. The restaurant same booking would’ve cost about $76, but booking on Klook cost about $106. I will likely refrain from using Klook unless absolutely necessary - However, I wouldn’t have easily found this restaurant had it not been a Klook recommendation.

Established in 1946, Chihana is conveniently located near the station and is one of the leading restaurants in Japan and around the world in terms of Itamae cuisine, and has been awarded three Michelin stars in Kyoto for seven consecutive years. "Itamae" refers to the chef who is in charge of preparing the ingredients for the customers at the table, in addition to his or her excellent knife skills and various cooking methods.. In order to present the seasonality of the dishes, Chihana's ingredients are changed as the seasons change. The containers used to serve the food are also very elaborate, with large, wide-mouth bowls in summer and deep containers in winter.
