What to expect
Enjoy the beautiful landscape of Mexico on your way to Cuernavaca, a wonderful town and former home of Spanish conquistador Hernán Cortés. Let your guide take you on a panoramic tour of the cathedral and the Cortés Palace. Then visit Taxco, known as the Silver City, with winding cobblestone streets, tile-roofed buildings, cozy squares, and a strong Old World ambiance that has survived for centuries. Visit one of Mexico’s grandest churches, Santa Prisca.
You may also choose to visit an ancient mine, descend in an authentic mining elevator and walk through a beautifully illuminated 150-meter tunnel while learning about the lives of pre-Hispanic miners. If you select the option that includes it, you will also enjoy time to eat at a typical restaurant and taste local cuisine.

Reviews
The main purpose of the trip was to visit Taxco and the mines. Cuernavaca was about what I expected (average). At the mines, we had a separate guide to provide information, but since the guide only spoke Spanish, our tour guide had to translate. The mines were interesting, but not a must-see. Wandering through the alleys of Taxco felt very special, and the scenery was beautiful. It was a bit of a shame that it rained heavily for a while, so I couldn't fully enjoy the place.
Taxco is a very beautiful place. We went to a jewelry shop where they explained to us how silver jewelries are made. Afterwards, we were given some time to look around the store and buy some jewelries- the place is called Plateria Moreno. The jewelries are cheap costing between 70 MXN up to around 2000 MXN. We also went to a restaurant with a very beautiful view of the city called El Atrio. The tour, however, wasn't that great, as they move the meet up time from 6:20AM to 8:00AM, the good thing though is they offered pick up from accommodation instead of the usual meeting place. The tour to Cuernavaca was also very short as I think because we didn't have enough time due to the change in sched. Though, overall it is still a good experience. Taxco is really worth the visit to those who are planning to go to Mexico.
your guide was very helpful, the trip definitely worth the price and time. weather was very nice in the winter time
our guide Barbi is professional in both English and Spanish guide. Taxco is a beautiful small town, worth to visit.

Good to know
- We recommend to wear comfortable shoes
- Due to government immigration regulations, all passengers must present their passport, whether physical, digital, or photocopied, which proves their legal stay in Mexico. In the event that someone does not present the physical document, it is necessary to show the passport page with the entry stamp into the country, as well as the page with the person’s data.
