Reviews
I highly recommend this tour. We had leveled our expectations given some of the reviews but we’ve taken enough tours to know this is definitely one of the best. Our English guide, Lily (pictured below), was superbly clear and thorough with giving us background and historical stories. It was obvious everyone in the group liked her because everyone opted to stay with her at the last stop of the tour, even after she said people can start having their free time. Tlelolco was a nice warm up to history. Visiting Our Lady of Gualalupe was something we became deeply grateful for. We didn’t know much about the histories so it was incredible to have it included in this tour. We probably could’ve used 15-30mins more here because we had to rush a bit to the bus after our free time. Some reviewers complained about stopping at the arts store, but tbh, that’s really how it is anywhere to help local arts communities. We didn’t mind it because this one is more interesting than others I’ve gone to before. It was a very hot day yesterday so we were happy that the bus was big, new, and cold inside! Although I thought we could’ve ended lunch earlier, it did feel important not to rush people from their lunch time because it was still so hot outside to go to Teotihuacan. It is quite expensive at the suggested restaurant so we made sure to bring our own snacks and drinks, and just bought some horchata and dessert at the restaurant, which totaled $15 for two people. At about 330pm, it became cloudy so we were able to enjoy the rest of the tour in nice weather walking in Teotihuacan. It’s the first time I felt compelled to tip because they were all so friendly, respectful, and punctual! I’d definitely look out for Amigo Tours when I travel somewhere else.
We had our tour with Lily, who was fantastic. she was very knowledgeable, a great storyteller, and was organized. she knew how to command the group well with clear instructions and expectations management. we learned a lot during this tour and would highly recommend it for anyone visiting CDMX
Francisco, Jose Luis, and Sergio were our guides on this trip. They worked together to make this tour an enjoyable one. Francisco was our English guide and he regaled us with his funny one-liners. Highly recommend this trip! Excellent organisation!
The Tour guide LiLi is super detail introduce the background & history of pyramid. Greatly appreciated with her effort. cheers!
Easy to use and efficient pick up at meet up point. There are many tourists on the trip and tour guide was friendly.
Those wanting to just the see teotihuacan can probably find another tour that just focuses on that. This one takes a while to get to the main attraction but is still interesting non the less. The tour guides are passionate and ensure you’re comfortable throughout. The lunch that isn’t included is pretty expensive and not the greatest food but there no other option unless you bring your own. Being British the tipping culture gets old fast, we tipped our waiter then we we came to pay with another lady she also wanted a tip. This dampened the experience some what, otherwise it was a great day out
The course was informative, and even though there was a tequila tasting in the middle, it was nice that they explained the Teotihuacan course carefully! I like the guide Christian who explained in English. Oh, by the way, it is now closed to the top of Teutihuacan, so please keep that in mind when considering taking pictures. Thank you Christian!
those two tour guides are super good.provide well explanations for the history of church and pyramids. Also slove the problems I offered. Thanks so much !
Very nice tour. Very convenient and informative. Highly recommend it when you are in town.
it was very crowded. many places were limited in regards to where you can walk. don’t purchase items from the tour - overpriced. but it from local vendors on the street
Good to know
