Seoul Day Tour: Suwon Hwaseong Fortress & Royal Cherry Blossoms

TG and the tour group were amazing. everyone’s friendly, easy to get along with even as a solo traveller. he brought us to see green cherry blossom, royal cherry blossom and the standard ones. lunch recommendation tasted great. best part of my trip so far. TG will accommodate to the group and helped us take photos. rly enjoyed the tour! cherry blossom wise the standard ones mostly fell, the royal/green ones haven’t fully bloomed yet, so first week of April or end Apr might be better to see either at its peak. overall will recommend! like it better than the other tour I booked (also klook, also tour story, but different guide)

I had a wonderful time during this tour. We had a very kind guide, Patrick. The tour had ample time for each stop, though it was also too much time as the royal cherry blossoms haven't bloomed yet and so there was limited scenery for those stops. It was unfortunate that we were too early as the royal cherry blossoms for two of the temples were still buds. It would be 2 weeks before they bloom because of the cold weather. We were still able to catch the light pink cherry blossoms at Suwon fortress. The itinerary was still nice.

We began our day surrounded by the serene beauty of Jangtaesan Forest, walking beneath towering metasequoia trees, breathing in the crisp, fresh air, and feeling completely at peace. From there, we traveled to the awe-inspiring UNESCO-listed Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, where history came alive through its majestic walls, ornate gates, and sweeping city views. Our guide, Yoon, was absolutely phenomenal; deeply knowledgeable, engaging, and personable, with an infectious passion for sharing Korea’s history and hidden gems. He also proved to be an outstanding photographer, capturing both candid and perfectly composed shots we will cherish forever. Yoon went above and beyond in every way, making sure we were comfortable, never rushed, and fully immersed in the experience. We walked away with not only incredible memories, but also the feeling that we’d spent the day with someone we’d gladly travel with again. This was an 11/10 experience, and Yoon is a guide we’ll never forget.

The itinerary was well-paced, allowing ample time for sightseeing. Our tour guide, Patrick Kim, was very attentive, ensuring our safety when getting on and off the bus, and helping us order meals, which eliminated many communication difficulties. The overall arrangements were very suitable.

Just got back from a tour to Suwon and couldn't wait to put in a review. Jun was such a wonderful tour guide. He explained the history of the fortress and showed us how to collect the stamps. Walking the local market was interesting, so different from the U.S. We requested a side stop to a garden that was in a K-drama. Enjoyed it immensely and took plenty of pictures. The last stop was Starfield. Fun looking at the library. Even more fun shopping. Jun was even very helpful when we were looking for a book. He suggested where we can go. That was beyond what he needed to do. His personality is perfect for this profession. When we are back in Seoul, we will definitely book a tour with Jun.

I had an amazing tour and feel relaxed throughout the day. The guide Mr. Yoon is accommodating and take pictures for every members of the tour. The itinerary was changed from the Daejeon Market to Starfield Suwon which is fine. A Nice tour indeed

Our tour guide, Sky, was amazing! He safely drove while introducing the attractions, and he's fluent in both Chinese and English! Personally, I think Hwaseong Fortress is a must-see, it's absolutely beautiful!

We were so lucky this time!! The vehicle was a 9-seater SUV, and our guide, Mr. Genie, drove super smoothly. Since the journey was quite long, my dad, who usually gets carsick, could enjoy the ride. We arrived a bit too early though... the leaves were still green, but Hwaseong Fortress was still very beautiful. The fried chicken was incredibly delicious; I highly recommend trying it if you go there!! Our guide, Mr. Genie, was very proactive in taking photos for us, gave detailed explanations, and was very considerate of our safety. His Mandarin is excellent. Mr. Genie deserves a thumbs up (￣▽￣)b

Sky and Dragon were very friendly and accommodating, and made the long car rides enjoyable! Time management was very good as well, the tour did not feel rushed and we had plenty of time to explore the areas in our own time 😄
