SEA LIFE COEX Seoul Aquarium Ticket

The Sea Life Coex Aquarium is absolutely beautiful and very well‑maintained! I loved the creative displays and the incredible variety of fish and other sea creatures. Using the Klook voucher made the visit super easy, it worked like a charm. 😉

August 24, 2026 - Itinerary Record This was our first day arriving in Seoul. We reached the Myeongdong hotel at 9:10 AM and dropped off our luggage. Since it was still early, check-in wasn't until 3:00 PM. We then headed to COEX at Samseong Station for a visit. We arrived at Exit 5 of Samseong Station at 10:16 AM. The stairs there were extremely long and not pedestrian-friendly, making the walk quite strenuous. Even with Naver Map, we felt lost. A man in uniform, possibly from a mall or hotel, was standing by the road. After explaining where we wanted to go and why, he gestured for us to go through the building in front of us. After passing through it, we saw the Starfield Library, but still couldn't find COEX further ahead. We saw some people who might have been mall staff; after asking them, they directed us down one level (to the basement). Once downstairs, the navigation worked normally, and we found it in about 5 minutes. After spending some time finding our way, we arrived at the COEX entrance at 10:37 AM to explore. We initially thought COEX was small, but we were pleasantly surprised. The exhibits were rich in content, and there was a wide variety of fish species. At 12:00 PM, we went to the mermaid show area. Since the performance wasn't until 12:30 PM, we bought some snacks and drinks from a nearby snack bar – popcorn and a smoothie to curb our hunger and refresh ourselves. We left the COEX Aquarium around 1:00 PM and returned to Exit 5, where we had entered, around 1:45 PM. Summary: The snack bar only accepted credit card payments; cash was not accepted. The mermaid performer's show was professional, but it also highlighted the difficulty of the performance, which seemed to put a significant strain on her body and required immense physical exertion. She endured many challenges to earn the applause of visitors. Life is not easy. Notes: My accommodation is near Exit 9 of Myeongdong Station, so I took Line 2 to Exit 5 of Samseong Station without needing to transfer. COEX is quite a distance from Samseong Station and not easy to find. When leaving, we explored the COEX mall and discovered that Exit 7 of Bongeunsa Station on Line 9 was right outside the mall. In hindsight, this might have been the closest route to COEX. Naver Map only showed Line 2 for travel between Myeongdong Station and Samseong Station. I was unaware of Line 9, so I chose to retrace my steps back to Exit 9 of Myeongdong Station.

I bought the tickets on site and it took 1-2 minutes for it to be processed and QR code to be usable. The aquarium was very whimsical as compared to SEA aquarium in SG so that was really interesting. There was even a mermaid performance of The Little Mermaid.

Sea life Coex Seoul was a lot better than I expected! If you've read some negative reviews online, don't believe them! The Aquarium was excellent! So many different zones and a large variety of sea life including the Penguins! The Seal feeding was a real treat. The discounted tickets from Klook were also very easy to purchase and redeem. I would recommend this place as a really fun attraction!

Overall, a nice experience and worth a visit if you’re in Seoul, especially for families.

Purchasing tickets through KLOOK is cheaper and more convenient than buying them on-site. Simply present the QR code for entry; there's no need to exchange tickets at the counter. The aquarium has a well-planned flow, a wide variety of fish, and is perfect for families with children.

The acquarium was great and made in a way to entertain kids. My baby loved looking at all the creatures and we as adults also enioyed the experience. Very beautiful acquarium.

It's incredibly convenient to buy and use immediately! You can enter by simply having the staff scan your ticket at the entrance. Although it's a bit small, it's still quite interesting, and there's even a mermaid show to watch!
