Hwacheon Sancheoneo Ice Fishing / Ice Valley / Elysian Ski Day Tour

It was my second time participating in the Hwacheon Sancheoneo Festival and of course, I wasn’t left disappointed! This year, I topped up the trip with the Gugok Falls itinerary and it was a truly splendid trip. The view was extraordinary especially with the snow surrounding the area. Ms Hwa, our guide gave us clear introduction and instructions before each view points and recommended us to a really good Chuncheon Dakgalbi restaurant for lunch. She even checked in with us if we needed crampons so that we can walk easily on the ice during the festival. Overall, this tour was indeed worth the price and I will definitely recommend it to all whenever you visit South Korea in the winter! It’s a cool experience as the Sancheoneo Ice Festival usually only last for half a month (btw 11 Jan to 2 Feb typically) so seize this opportunity !

This was a family favourite on our holiday to South Korea. I'm so glad we were able to come during the period the ice festival is on. We had such a good time catching fish, snow sledding and seeing the sights. The ice sculptures were even more impressive in person. If you are travelling to South Korea during the winter season and are with family this is the tour you need to go on. Sheri was an amazing guide. I'll cherish our memories of this place.

First of all, thank you to the director "Sister Cui" for being so enthusiastic and humorous 😍. At the Hwacheon Ice Fishing Festival, you can experience trout fishing, sledding, and more. I was very lucky to be able to try all the facilities! The weather was very cooperative! Inside the park, there are grilled fish and all kinds of snacks, and next door at the school, you can see the ice sculpture exhibition! It's really a very fun and interesting event!!

The day b4, Bob msg us to confirm and remind us about the time venue and no. of pple for the next day. This morning we met up and took off promptly on time. Bob gave us a good run thru at the start and advised us to rest since the drive was quite long. Nearing the festival venue he briefed us clearly on the event itself with recommendation on which activities to do first to maximize enjoyment. He then guided us to the first few events and then gave us the space to play on our own. Bob is really a great guide to have! The ice festival is so so nice! The views are spectacular, the scale is impressive and it was so cool to actually catch a fish thru a hole in the ice! But it is really v v cold! After we gathered up again we were driven to the world biggest indoor ice sculpture exhibition. The sculptures were really impressive and the highlight was the ice slide where you get to slide down the ice slide sculpture. Really really fun but with crazy long queue. We ended our day of fun nicely.

Had a great time with Miao! They adjusted the itinerary from Gugok to Eobi Ice Valley since the other waterfall wasn’t frozen yet and added in a stop to eat dakgalbi in Chuncheon before the Hwacheon Sancheoneo Ice Festival. The weather wasn’t great so we couldn’t ice sled, but we still got to go fishing (even caught one!), eat steamed fish, and watch people catch fish with their bare hands.

Amazing day out, brilliant views, you definitely get your moneys value from this package. Lovely guide, can speak multiple languages so you won't have any issues with communication or questions. Very eager to help anyone, also the comfort of the drive is lovely to, plenty of time between stop to rest up from the walking. The festival is gorgeous, so much to get up to and all staff members will help with any problems. Xiao Yang is very professional ~ clear guidance, accurate introduction; making everyone very happy to complete the trip ~ recommended Whether it's the indoor ice sculpture exhibition, the indoor slide (thanks to Xiao Yang's guide), tire slide, eating trout, or ice fishing, we all had a great time

You can't go wrong with Miaomiao as your guide! She constantly reminded us of things to be aware of and recommended great local products. Ice fishing was a really fun experience, and catching a fish was very rewarding. The sledding was extremely fun, whether it was tire sledding or traditional sledding. I'll definitely look for Miaomiao as my guide on future tours.

My family had a wonderful experience. Ice fishing was amazing. The grilled fish was delicious. Unfortunately, the ice slide was too crowded and we didn't get a chance to wait in line. I suggest trying that one first. The ice sculptures were also very beautiful.

Our tour guide Suki was so professional and well explained to all the trip details. She is very supportive and has a friendly nature which led our family feeling warmth and comfortable. The tour programme was well planned and the driver was gentle with driving. To summerize, it was a very pleasant and memorable trip. We gonna join this tour company with Suki again for sure.
