The whole experience with the cooking school was smooth-sailing. The staff & chef met us on time at the meeting point and led us to the nearby market. After we got our ingredients, we took the tuktuk to the school not far away. Once there, we wasted no time and started with our first dish. There were 4 dishes in all. before each dish, we were introduced to the ingredients & helped with the preparation. After cooking each dish, we had a chance to taste our masterpiece! There was never a full moment with the group. My daughter and I have gathered a lot of knowledge from the whole experience. Thank you, J for being a great instructor and taking good care of us. Don't miss this wonderful opportunity with House of Taste when in Bangkok. :)
It's been a very good experience with very brilliant teacher. Cookers are safe here and the teacher teach you in a patient way. even a small kid can enjoy the interest of cooking. Unforgettable experience ^o^
It was a little awkward at first, but the chef took good care of us, so we had a fun time. Ingredient preparation takes place indoors with air conditioning, and then we take the prepared ingredients outside to cook. Once the food is cooked, we put it on a plate, go back inside, and eat together. I thought we would cook everything and eat it all at once for lunch, but it turned out to be a sequence of cooking and eating right away, then cooking again. It might be okay to skip breakfast before going. There are a few safety points to be aware of; the frying pan kept slipping off the gas stove, so I thought that if you're not careful, it could fall while cooking and cause an injury (maybe it was just my frying pan). Overall, it was a lot of fun, and I'd like to come back with my friends next time to learn together.
attended morning cooking class with family of 5. overall good experience, and good family bonding opportunity. Kay is very knowledgeable and friendly, and her experience sharing and guidance added to the overall fun and learning
The class experience was fantastic! Staying near Asok station, it was very convenient to meet at the subway station in the morning. We made four dishes in class, which was a very novel experience!
This is the most convenient cooking class to get to from Asok Station. The morning class starts with grocery shopping at a small market right next to Sukhumvit Station exit, where you meet. You don't need to be fluent in English to follow along. The amount of food you make each time is small, but you end up getting full while eating, so you almost always have leftovers for dessert. It's a good idea to pack the Pad Thai to go. lol
A fantastic experience! The cooking instructor's English was excellent, and they were very humorous and engaging. I feel like this is a tour worth revisiting, especially since the recipes change daily!
I attended the evening class and had a wonderful time. The curry my friend and I made that day was the most delicious red curry I've ever had! My body and soul were completely satisfied with the Thai dishes made with fresh ingredients. It's also great that you can work in a large, clean space with good equipment. If you like cooking, you should definitely check this place out. When I get home, I want to try making the Thai dishes I learned, using the recipes.
Such an enjoyable experience! A great way to explore Thai food. 😋 Our chef instructor April was awesome too! Worth the try! 💕
The market we visited in the morning was small and quite dirty. It wasn't worth taking the morning class for it. However, the staff were all very polite. The food they cooked was also quite tasty.
