Reviews summaryThe highlight of our Thailand trip! We booked the half-day morning program through Klook, which included convenient hotel pickup and drop-off. We visited on a Wednesday, and there were only 7 guests, including us, making the experience feel very personal. Camp 1 has 7 rescued female elephants, and we had plenty of time to interact with them without feeling rushed. We enjoyed complimentary snacks and drinks before the tour, then learned so much about the elephants from the amazing guides, who spoke excellent English and clearly loved and cared for them. We prepared their food, fed them bananas, gave them a mud spa, bathed them, played with them in the water, and even made eco-friendly paper from elephant dung. After the activities, we enjoyed a delicious buffet lunch and received a free eco bag. Everything was well organized and unforgettable. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Pattaya!
Our experience at Elephant Jungle Sanctuary was truly unforgettable and one of the highlights of my 30th birthday celebration. We enjoyed every activity from start to finish — feeding the elephants, making their supplements, creating paper from elephant poo, bathing them, and ending the day with a delicious meal. What made the experience even more special was the people at the sanctuary. Everyone was so kind, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do. You can really see how much they love and care for the elephants, and we loved hearing how they knew each elephant’s personality and story. The elephant bathing experience was also made so fun and enjoyable by the staff. Everything felt meaningful, interactive, and well thought out. It was more than just an activity — it was an experience we’ll always remember. I’m so grateful I got to celebrate my birthday here, and I already know I’ll be back someday so my future kids will be able to meet these gentle giants 🐘🤍
Such a wonderful/unique experience! I thoroughly enjoyed and recommend it to anyone coming to visit Pattaya! The elephants were very calm and gentle, the staff were kind and knowledgeable, and there was plenty of time to take lots of photos and videos.
without any exaggeration this was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! to be able to be so close and interact with an elephant was a deeply emotional and spiritual experience. the guides were very professional and truly loved the elephants they also made sure It was very interesting and lots of fun. I highly recommend you put this on your list of things that must be experienced when you are in Thailand 🐘🐘🐘🐘
I highly recommend everyone visit this type of farm, where the animals don't suffer! A huge thank you to the instructors! The service was very comfortable overall; they picked us up from our residence and brought us back! As a gift from the farm, we received a shopper bag and snacks, which was very sweet❤️
It was truly a fantastic experience! I'm so thrilled and grateful for the incredibly accommodating team who patiently waited for us at the office. We managed to arrive just in time as the van pulled in. At the sanctuary, everything was spotless, and the staff were wonderfully welcoming, explaining everything to us. Learning how to properly feed the elephants and sharing those joyful, unforgettable moments with them was simply superb!
It was really wonderful to interact with the elephants at the sanctuary, not just a typical zoo, by feeding them, giving them mud baths, showers, and even scrubbing them. I felt that the elephants, ranging from 6 years old to over 50, who had lived a life of hard labor, were being well cared for, even though the area wasn't huge. The staff were also friendly and took really great photos. There were people who spoke English and Chinese who were cheerful and provided immediate feedback and management regarding safety. Be sure to bring your swimsuit and towel to enjoy the mud bath, shower, and scrub! We loved the Thai local food served for lunch! Oh, and the pickup van was comfortable, and we received the photos taken on-site the next day. I want to go again!
This was one of the best experiences of our trip! It was even more worth it because I booked it on a buy 1 take 1 deal. The weather was nice—not too hot—so the whole activity was very comfortable. They also provided complimentary coffee, drinks, and snacks. Interacting with the elephants was such an unforgettable experience. We also received a unique souvenir made from elephant pupu paper, which was a fun and memorable keepsake. Overall, it was absolutely worth it and I highly recommend it!
Definitely a must-try when in Pattaya! We enjoyed our hassle-free experience here. We were transported via the shuttle service, so we didn’t have diffuculty finding the place. The elephants’ carers were also so nice and accommodating. They would even offer to take your pictures or videos. Most especially, the eleohants there seemed well taken care of.
It takes about 40 minutes in a van to get there, and it will pick up some travelers along the way. The main activities are bathing and feeding the elephants. The host speaks English in a very lively and interesting way, and the language is simple enough that even those who aren't very good at English should be able to understand. There are lockers available, but you need to pay a deposit to get a key. There are also clean showers where you can rinse off (with shower gel provided), but there are no hair dryers, so try not to get your hair too wet. The feeding part feels quite long; they give you bananas and watermelons to feed the elephants like crazy, and they all seem quite hungry. All the elephants seem to be well cared for. There is a photographer who will take pictures of you with the elephants. When bathing the elephants, the water depth is about knee-high, so your pants are guaranteed to get wet. It's recommended to bring a pair of pants that you don't mind getting dirty. For the top, they will give you a Northern Thai-style vest to wear, which won't get as dirty as your pants. The elephant bathing process is quite fun, and they will give you a brush to brush the elephants. However, it feels like the time goes by super fast, and you feel like you're called up to change clothes and prepare to go home in less than 10 minutes 😂. It could also be that the elephants can't be washed for too long. After the activity, lunch is not provided, so you have to go back to the hotel to sort it out yourself. Overall, it's pretty good, although a bit pricey, but think of it as helping these poor elephants. Apparently, the elephants here are from circuses or were used for transporting goods, which is really pitiful. Fortunately, they can retire here for the rest of their lives.
