Hanbok Rental at Changdeokgung Hanboknam Store

The staffs were friendly and assisted us in wearing the hanbok and advising the right sizing! Lockers were available to store your belongings too. Overall it was a lovely experience with just 5 mins walk to changdeokgung palace. Highly recommend to book your hanboks here!

Amazing staff Emily, eYue & Ila were very helpful... They will assist you and make sure that, what you wear suits you... I booked for 4 hrs but only used 2 hrs, as getting colder- But still ok.. it's still worth it 😋 Highly recommended shop, a lot of hanboks to chose from plus very friendly staff❤️❤️❤️

This is my second time in Korea and also my second time wearing a hanbok, but my first visit to Changdeokgung Palace. The hanbok store was conveniently located near the palace and offered a wide variety of designs for different body types. We visited on a weekday, so it wasn’t too crowded. Some ajummas even complimented our group, saying ‘yeppeuda’—such a sweet moment!

We went on a Friday at 9am and were promptly served as there was no queue and the shop had just opened. There were three friendly and experienced lady staff who attended to us. One of the ladies helped us to pick out outfits, another helped at the changing rooms while another helped at the hair styling station. Beautiful wide range of costumes and well organised services. Locker service is actually free. On hindsight, I would have bought 1.5h with extra hair styling (3,000won) and shoes (5,000 won) for a full outfit look. We left the shop at 10am and by 11.15am we had finished taking photos in Cheongdeokgung without the secret garden as you need to pay additional for that. It was also too hot to go Bukchon Village to take more photos. Bring along a tripod to help with photo taking so you can take photos with the beautiful architecture in the background. Only themed hanboks are available for children. We chose the Prince ones for the boys (warrior black or Prince blue) and chose a matching colour for my husband. We also got hats for them at 3,000 won each as add on accessory.

The hanbok shop is very close to Changdeokgung Palace and easy to find! It has a wide variety of hanbok styles, and we chose the premium serie which is reaaaaaalllly beautiful 🥰. After helping us put on the hanbok, staff also did our hair styling. The manager ( I guess hahaha) speaks English fluently and all the staffs were very patient, so we had absolutely no communication problems. When we finished our hanbok experience, they also kindly showed us where the luggage lockers were located.

Rented outfits here for 2.5 hours. Surprisingly airy for a sunny day. Love that you can choose from a variety of colours. The staff were very kind and accommodating. Thank you 💖

Easy to locate, lots of colors to choose from. staff were kind too. we chose 2.5 hrs and it was enough to take good photos with cherry blossoms in changdeokgung

Convenient travel shop near the palace It's easy to find the store... but when you arrive in the afternoon, there are only a few colors you want to choose from. But there is still a style that I like. At first, the staff will let you choose both skirts and shirts. Because there are quite a lot of customers. But if you ask the staff to recommend a shirt that goes with the skirt, The staff were happy to help.

I would really recommend this store. on the day I went it was raining so it was very quiet, there were only two people so we were able to spend more time getting ready. the hanboks are lovely, the have a good selection of premium janboks for men and women - my boyfriend and I were able to coordinate our colours. I would say it’s a smaller selection than bigger stores, but it’s perfect if you feel overwhelmed by too many choices. the lady who did my hair did an amazing job, I was wearing a wig at the time and she was able to style it in french braid style while still looking natural. location: it’s literally across the road from the palace grounds so you don’t have to walk forever on a hot day.
