Explore the natural wonder that is the Mekong Delta in this 3-day tour from Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam to Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia. Day 1 starts out with a 90-minute ride to the town of My Tho where you’ll get to see the Vinh Trang Pagoda, one of the best-known temples in the region. The pagoda’s architecture reflects the combination of local Vietnamese culture with Khmer and European influences. You will then take a short boat ride along the Tien River to nearby Tortorise Island where lunch will be served at a local restaurant. With a full belly, you’ll be on your way to Can Tho, the largest city in the Mekong Delta, where you will be spending the night. Day 2 begins early with breakfast at the hotel before the morning boat trip to Cai Rang floating market, one of the biggest floating markets in Southern Vietnam. Next stop is a village that is best known its rice vermicelli noodles. After observing how the locals make the rice noodles, you can explore the village some more before having lunch. After eating, you’ll be heading to Chau Doc, a town with significant mix of Chinese, Cham and Khmer communities, then to Tra Su Forest, a sanctuary located about 20 kilometers away, to visit a wild bird sanctuary. You can explore the town further during the evening or just get some rest at your hotel. The last leg of this tour includes an early breakfast before visiting the local fish farms and the Cham floating village. You’ll board a speed boat and have a scenic, six-hour journey before arriving at the Sisowath Wharf in Phnom Penh.
