What To Expect

Have a more memorable visit to the Sydney Opera House by watching the latest production of Giuseppe Verdi's La Traviata! It is currently the most popular of Verdi’s operas and also one of his most distinct. La Traviata's crowded sets and exquisite costumes combined with Verdi's famous tunes offer the perfect way to experience opera for the first time, or the chance to revisit a favorite with an exciting new cast. The show runs for approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes with two intervals. You can choose to order sparkling wine and other drinks from the bar service during the breaks. This production by Elijah Moshinsky is one of Opera Australia's most succesful, featuring lush party scenes in Paris and beautiful autumn afternoons in the countryside. Before or after the show, you can enjoy a delicious meal at the many harborside restaurants and take fabulous photos on the steps with the Opera House sails in the background.
