What to expect
This is a food walking tour conducted in fluent English by a profession Korean chef. You are going to Jagalchi Seafood Market, the largest fish market in Korea and the heart of Busan, and the over 100-year-old years old traditional Bupyeong Food Market, and learn about Korean food ingredients and local food culture in Busan, and taste delicious Busan food.

Chef Heeyoung took us on a tour through the local markets (some which we wouldn’t have found) and it was great to have some background and understanding of the culture and history of Busan. On top of that shw gave us some amazing recommendations for great eats such as the stall on the Jagalchi market and milmyeon. It was a delight and would definitely recommend for a deeper cultural understanding.

This is a must do tour. Chef Heeyoung knows Busan and the local markets very well. I particularly liked the explanation about the seasonal food, tips on how to cook the different types of fish and seafood and extra recommendations for where to have dinner after the tour.
