What To Expect

If the big city of Bangkok is proving to be a little intense for you, then a short city escape to Koh Kret or "Dessert Island" maybe just what the doctor ordered. Situated on a canal, Koh Kret is a haven of local life, luscious greenery and local specialities. Let the wind rustle your hair as you sail down river before arriving at the island to start the 7km bike ride around the island. Along the way meet and greet the locals, before stopping at an artisan village to get a class in pottery making. Master the wheel and create yourself a piece of pottery with your own special touch. After lunch trade your peddles for a paddle and set out on a canal trip into the 'dessert' canal where you will learn about some sweet treats produced on this island. Finally check out the floating market before heading back to the big city.

Dear Klook, this is the WORST tour I have never joined. 1. Their confirmation email mentioned meeting at 8:00am but the tour guide was 7 mins late, this is not professional. I was thinking if I waited at a wrong place so I called the tour guide at 8am and he really told me he would be late! 2. This tour has 2 selling points - one is bicycle; two is dessert (this mentions on klook's website that tourists can taste & make dessert), but after lunch when we got to the dessert place which was closed... because they only had a few orders today so they closed earlier! Then why didn't the tour guide call in advanced to check what time they closed? Maybe we can change to dessert first then pottery? I think this is flexible! I asked the guide if this happens sometimes and he said yes! Then why still use this for the selling point?!? And why still bring tourists there without checking first? it doesn't worth for HKD$435!!!

Every individual activity on the tour was great and it added up to an amazing day. We enjoyed watching and participating in the pottery making. Also, the 7km bike ride was not too exhausting and we enjoyed learning how to make desserts for the friendly locals.

Location is good, the local leader is also a great service, but ceramic island almost no shop is open on weekdays, should be informed on the page, or limited to participate in the holiday to avoid controversy!
