What to expect
Discover two of the most popular tourist destinations in Vietnam, Cao Dai Temple and Cu Chi Tunnels in Tay Ninh, located just 2 hours away from Ho Chi Minh City. The tour begins with a pick up from your hotel in central Ho Chi Minh City, or meet up with your tour group at the designated meet up location. From there, enjoy the comfortable 2 hour drive to Tay Ninh. Your first stop: Cao Dai Temple, a sacred temple where you can learn more about the fascinating Cao Dai religion. Attend the midday ceremony, and listen and watch as the monks flock in and out of the temple, clad in colorful robes while they hum their chants. After the ceremony, stop for lunch and a quick break at a local restaurant. Once you're all set, continue on your tour to explore the Cu Chi Tunnels, a network of tunnels and bunkers that stretch for over 200km. Learn about the importance the tunnels played in the Vietnam-American war, and how they were used specifically by the Viet Cong guerilla fighters. While there, take the chance to explore the war bunkers, command centers, weapon stores, and more! You can even sample some famous dishes that the guerrilla fighters used to eat (at own cost).
