Reviews
it’s kinda hard to believe reviews but believe that Papa Paul (our tour guide) was the best. the time was not really rushed, it was perfect. we went to mekong railway and was able to buy some stuff (it’s cheaper here than the floating market). the floating market was okay, but the coconut ice cream was delicious! also, BUY PAPA PAUL’S MANGO STICKY RICE COS LEGIT IT’S THE BEST. we tried so many mango sticky rice but his was the most delicious. so glad we booked the tour with the cafes cos they were gorgeous. 100 baht per person per cafe is included in the ticket. not necessarily drinks, you can also buy food instead. We loved the After the Rain cafe, the papaya boat (lol), we had to paddle the boat ourselves. The Bubble Cafe was really really pretty, we thought that the drinks would be mej. but we had the best thai milk tea here. This tour is really worth it, promise you won’t regret it. We love you Papa Paul!!!!
The best tour package ever!! it is jam packed with the train station market and train passing. Then we did the floating market. Bring lots of cash. lots of good deals. Then we visited a temple with a guant pagoda. The lunch at After the Rain is exquisit. They accept credit cards BUT must spend 500 baht minimum. it was uard to reach that amount since food was cheap and it was only my hubby and I. Then we got to see Bubble in the Forest fir drinks and photos. Paul was funny and very hospitable! Enjoyed the tour. THANK YOU!!! itinerary: All day!! Loved it! guide: Paul —AWESOME group size: 9
Thanks to our tour guide Pani for taking care of us along the way. He not only helped us take beautiful photos but also helped us find the toilet. The Railway Market is really unique. If you see something you like, I suggest you compare prices as the prices can differ by more than half. When a train is approaching, you must find a good seat as soon as possible, otherwise you will be squeezed into a place where you cannot see the train up close. In Damnoen Saduak, we took a boat trip to experience the floating market. The things were quite expensive so we didn't buy anything. The Phra Pathom Pagoda is very spectacular and awe-inspiring. The two cafes in the afternoon are both good places for taking photos. One is fun for boating, and the other has a beautiful pool. Both tour guides treated us to drinks for 100 baht. It's a good option if you don't want to spend time planning your transportation.
Arrived 8am in Hug Thai, we we’re only 7 in total in the group tour which was easy to control no need to wait for anyone. We departed earlier than the actual time 8:20 am and arrived aroun 9:40 in Maeklong Station. Maeklong Station is just a railway market where you could find dried fruits, thai food, thai souvenirs, clothes, and a lot more. It’s cheaper here compared to the floating market so better buy or eat here first. We had green thai milk tea (40 baht), pad thai (60 baht), mango sticky rice (50 baht), and bought some souvenirs. Train arrived at 11:10 and there were a lot of tourists already flocking to take some photos. It was an okay experience, something to add to your itinerary since market is cheaper. After the railway market, we went to Damnoen Floating Market, it was expectations vs. reality moment, it’s nice to experience it maybe once but it’s just another market on water but prices are more expensive compared to others, I just tried their coconut ice cream just for the experience. We went to the temple at noon, where we just roam around the area and took some pictures, there’s food stalls also outside the temple. The temple is around 40-50 minutes away from the floating market. After the temple, we went cafe hopping, first in After the Rain Cafe and Gallery, it’s good for photos, we had drinks each included in the tour package worth 100 baht below only, you just pay the excess. We also bought Rice Noodles with Pork, one of their best sellers, and didn’t disappoint, it was good and serving is also okay. In Bubble in the Forest, we only spent around 30 mins in the cafe to avoid Bangkok traffic, we took photos in the area, ordered another drink (below 100 baht) and roamed in the area. We arrived around 17:30 in Bangkok and was dropped off in Hug Thai, it’s more expensive than doing it DIY but for the convenience and comfort, it’s a reasonable price. Good experience!
We had an absolutely wonderful experience booking our day tour through Klook to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, Maeklong Railway Market, Phra Pathom Chedi, Bubble in the Forest, and After the Rain Cafe. The entire itinerary was well-organized and strictly on time, which made the day run very smoothly. We want to give a huge commendation to our guide, Steve, and our driver for their excellent service. Steve was incredibly nice and refreshingly honest, providing us with great advice on what was truly worth seeing and which tourist traps we should avoid. Even though the itinerary felt a bit fast-paced since there were only three of us in the group, we never felt rushed. Steve guided us every step of the way, ensuring we stayed relaxed and informed throughout the day. This tour was a highlight of my mom’s 70th birthday celebration, and I was so impressed by how comfortable and accommodating it was for her. Thank you, Klook and Steve, for such a memorable and comfy experience!
I was pair up with the guide Champ and he was attentive, patience, helpful and funny. made the tour quite a lovely experience. I left my phone at one of the cafes and he had a Grab drop it off at my hotel. helped with taking pictures and shared some of the history of Thailand - the floating Market and the cafes. offered helpful suggestions of how to bargain with the locals in the Market. the only thing that could've improved was the weather... I was literally soaked in sweat by the time we finished, you will definitely need a fan on the go, don't chance a heat stroke trying to look cool 🙃 Met a lovely couple from Australia who made the experience a touch better, overall don't hesitate to book even as a solo traveler! just bring enought cash, water and a fan... there are no ATMs near the locations we went. used most of my cash in the first two markets like a dummy 😂
the tour was super fun and sulit! especially since the spots were really far from the city center and pick up point. we booked centralworld as the pickup point but about two nights before, they informed us that the pick up point changed. it was fine since the new pickup point was about a 10 minute walk from the original. the tour guide, Mr. Sammy, was helpful, friendly, and informative! he even knows a bunch of filipino words and taught us a few words in thai too :) we were also given a big bottle of water and a cookie at the start of the trip (which was really thoughtful since most restaurants don’t offer free water). we went to all the spots in the itinerary but i wish we spent more time in some places (like the temple because there was a festival + food stalls). there were only five of us in the tour but i think the max is seven. either way, the car was spacious and comfy. overall, my family and i had a lot of fun! big thank you to Mr. Sammy and our driver!
Fantastic Guide and Picture-Perfect Itinerary: The itinerary was amazing, with plenty of beautiful spots to take great pictures. Our group was small, just 8 people plus Jimmy, our guide, which felt more personal compared to the larger tour groups we saw along the way. Unfortunately, Bangkok traffic was worse than usual that day due to an accident ahead, which caused delays in our schedule. Despite this, we managed to catch the train passing by at the railway market, though we only had around 20 minutes there because of the packed schedule. At the floating market, we grabbed lunch, and the experience was absolutely fascinating as a tourist. The coconut ice cream and mango sticky rice were delicious, and the floating market offers cheap souvenirs. By the time we reached the last café, we were about an hour behind schedule, but Jimmy made the experience enjoyable. He’s such a jolly and experienced guide, with fluent English that made conversations easy and fun. He even managed to make us laugh—a skill not every guide can master! It’s clear he has years of experience, and his cheerful personality really stood out.
Crossing the floating market, Bubble in the Forest, and the train market off my Thailand bucket list was such a memorable experience! Exploring the bustling market on the water, relaxing in the unique Bubble in the Forest, and witnessing the train pass through the market were all incredible moments. Our tour guide, Marco, was patient, knowledgeable, and made sure we had the best experience possible. This tour was a fantastic way to experience the vibrant culture and hidden gems of Thailand!
Really fun, even for a solo traveller! I was worried we wouldn't have enough time for each cafe, but it was definitely sufficient given how many activities are in the itinerary. Good balance of guided and free time to self-explore. Lunch is at your own cost - and despite it being a hot day, the Tom Sum boat noodles at the floating market are worth the try! Guide gave clear expectations and cooperative participees made everything run with like clockwork. I mistakenly left my bag in the vehicle thinking that we would get back on the vehicle after a short bathroom break, but it turned out we were already at the site. Luckily, our guide and driver worked together so I could get my bag quickly and it didn't slow down our tour. Overall well organized, knowledgeable and experienced guide (ask for Tom!), and safe driving (thank you Mr. Driver and I'm sorry I don't remember your name!).
