Maeklong Railway
Our first stop will be the Maeklong Railway Market. Called ‘Talat Rom Hup’ which roughly means ‘umbrella pulldown market’, it is famous for the vendors’ mad scramble to pack up when a train goes by.
Maeklong Railway
We’ll explore and hopefully see the train pass before making our way to our next stop the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market.
Damnoen Saduak Floating Market
One of the more famous floating markets in the city, it is made up of a network of narrow canals dotted with vendors paddling their boats filled with their wares.
Damnoen Saduak Floating Market.
From local produce to souvenir items, we’ll take in the organized chaos on the river before stopping for lunch in a local restaurant.
Grand Palace
After stuffing our bellies full of tasty Thai food, it’s off to see some temples. First up is Wat Phra Kaew (also known as Temple of the Emerald Buddha), one of the country’s most sacred temples.
Grand Palace
We’ll take in the tranquil and spiritual environment before making our way to the Grand Palace.
Grand Palace
Marvel at the exquisite architecture and numerous images here, once home to the Thai royal family up until the early 1900s.
Grand Palace
Having had our fill of temples, we’ll make our way back to your accommodations or meeting point to mark the end of the day.

Review for: Private Tour

We did the Grand Palace, Damneon Saduak Floating Market and Maeklong Railway Market tour with our tour guide, Chufa, and we really had a wonderful time! Chufa is a good tour guide who gave us facts about Bangkok and the places we went to. He also made us try Thai delicacies which we thoroughly enjoyed. He also knew the perfect spots to get the best views. Ie, in the railway market he took us to cafe with front seats where we waited for the train to pass. He also made sure that we are safe and comfortable. Coordination with the TripGuru team was also smooth and easy. They sent me an email with all the details I needed the night before and tour guide picked us up on time the next day. Will definitely book with TripGuru again!

Our tour guide, Ratima Poompattanayota and assigned driver is exceptional. They make our experience enjoyable and educational. They ensured that we were well taken care of and catered to our special needs. Their attention to detail and excellent organizational skills kept us on schedule and allowed us to see as much as possible.

Review for: Small Group Tour

The tour guide was very kind and professional, and his explanations were also very detailed. Since there were only three people in the group, the car we sent out was also relatively small. We had to squeeze into the back seat of the third row. The round trip took more than an hour. I thought it was okay but the return trip was a little tight. If you have a sore back, these attractions are quite special. I would recommend visiting the Grand Palace and Floating Market separately.

Although the railway and water are unique, they are not worth visiting again. The palace and Buddhist temple are must-see attractions.

Review for: Private Tour in Chinese

I booked a one-day tour to the Grand Palace in advance, but was unable to visit the Grand Palace due to special weather conditions. The other party did not actively communicate with me about this situation. Instead, they kept waiting for me to contact them. I contacted them but they never responded in time, so I was unable to go, and now I cannot get a refund.
