Very nice tour, managed to see a lot of cows at Desa cattle farm and there’s a free small milk carton included. Had a heartwarming meal and were lucky enough to see the rafflesia and different rare species of orchid blooming. A lot of nice scenery from the top of the mountain. The tour guide Michael is also very knowledgeable and passionate about the different plant species on the mountain, especially the orchids. Good and relaxing day trip to have as the bus will pick up from the hotel and return back to the city.
Roy was very friendly and helpful. Since the canopy walk has been closed for the past few months, it was replaced with a trail hike to the waterfall instead.
Tour Guide: The commentary was excellent, witty, and humorous. Itinerary: Everything was on schedule, but we didn't get to the suspension bridge (it's been closed for a year). Attractions along the way: The scenery was beautiful, and we saw most of what there was to see. My favorite part was the Rafflesia flower site. The entrance fee was 30 MYR, which we paid ourselves. The guide mentioned it only blooms every 6-9 years, so we were incredibly lucky! Journey: I just want to mention my experience with the car ride. The driver who picked me up was a bit reckless and scary, but he did slow down for turns, which made me feel a little better. Still, I couldn't really sleep during the whole trip.
The tour guide Kelvin was very humorous, his introduction was very detailed and professional, and he could switch between many languages, which deserves a gorgeous round of applause. We were lucky to see Mount Kinabalu, the scenery was beautiful. In addition to the three attractions written in the itinerary, the tour guide took us to see the Rafflesia (the flowers happened to be blooming in a farm with Rafflesia), but an additional charge of RM 30/person was required. Personally, I think it is well worth the extra fee. The yogurt gelato at the ranch is very delicious and I highly recommend buying it. The canopy walk requires some physical strength, and there are some stone and dirt roads, so you need to wear comfortable cloth shoes. It may rain, so please remember to bring an umbrella or raincoat. When soaking your feet in Poring Hot Spring, it is recommended to bring a towel to dry your feet. If you want to soak your whole body in the hot spring, you will need to pay extra.
It's really great. I highly recommend it. I went with Michael as a guide, and he explained everything in detail and kindly, and the food was delicious. I recommend paying extra to see the Laffencia flowers. It's hard to get fresh milk in Malaysia, so it was nice to go to the milk market and try it, and the mountain trekking while going on the canopy walk was also nice. Everyone does activities that involve just playing in the ocean, but I highly recommend Mount Kinabalu :) I recommend bringing snacks for the round trip!
It was a pity that I couldn't see the peak of Mt. Kinabalu properly because it was a cloudy day, but even so, the mountain covered in clouds was delicious. I also enjoyed the yogurt ice cream at Desa Ranch, and although I didn't expect much, the experience of walking on the canopy was so much fun. And there was even a free hot spring foot bath at the end... I enjoyed the day tour for its cost-effectiveness!
I visited Sabah about 10 years ago, but the itinerary was slightly different. There was no dairy farm, no hot springs, and the Mount Kinabalu suspension bridge was also different. The experience is a little different. The tour guide Micheal is very professional and gave explanations along the way. The driver is a very good driver. Although the road was narrow, winding and foggy, the passengers felt very safe. The weather has changed a lot in the past few days, with heavy rain every day. Fortunately, it only rained heavily on the return journey that day. We were very lucky!
We had a one-day tour with five to six groups of passengers, a total of 16 people including the tour guide and driver. Everyone was very cooperative and respectful, and arrived at the pick up point on time. The driver Awung drove steadily, and the tour guide Michael gave clear and detailed explanations on Nabalu, Desa Farm and Poring Hot Springs, and we stayed at each place for 30 minutes or more. The suspension bridge is divided into 5 sections. Although the distance is short, the swaying feeling while walking is quite thrilling. Nabalu viewing point overlooks Mount Kinabalu, with clouds covering the peak but not affecting the magnificent view. On the way back, the sun was shining but turned into thick fog. It happened in just half an hour. The Kinabalu area was truly untouchable. It was a pleasant day trip!
It was a very enjoyable day. I'm especially grateful to our tour guide, Thomson, for his enthusiastic and patient explanations and companionship throughout the trip. We left the hotel at 7 AM to head up the mountain, and I was able to catch up on some sleep on the way to recharge for the hike. Thanks to Thomson's efforts, we even managed to visit the dairy farm after it had closed, where we got to taste some milk with a subtle dairy flavor. I also had a great time with the other group members; we chatted and laughed the whole way.
The tour guide Michael was very good. He introduced the history of Sabah and various attractions, introduced the plants and animals along the way in Mount Kinabalu National Park, and also took us to the Rafflesia flower, which we paid extra for on a voluntary basis. He introduced the physiological cycle and characteristics of the Rafflesia flower in detail. At the end of the trip, he even took the initiative to suggest that we get off near the weekend night market.
