While I have been to Kyoto many times before, this is the first time (alone) with my two young children. Nijo Castle was really kid- friendly with its Nightingale floors and maze-like corridors. The palace grounds were awe-inspiring and the Golden Pavilion was incredibly beautiful. I would have liked to have been able to spend another 10 to 15 minutes in each spot - the tour felt quite rushed and there wasn't time for toilet stops built into the schedule, which can prove fatal for little ones. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and included lots of fun facts for the kids. The lunch stop was a little too long - we finished the lunch plate in ten minutes, Kyoto Handcraft Centre was a lot of fun. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling with kids. The kids had a choice of things to make, and they all turned out beautifully. The Centre has the best range of Kyoto souvenirs at the best prices I have seen in all of Kyoto.
I really like the guide's explanation about the different places that we visited, the food given at this tour is typical from Japan. They also give you a lot of information of places that are frequently visited by tourist, how to get there and what to see on your stay in Kyoto, I really recomend this tour to all travelers.
