Great tour itinerary but could do better with a guide who can speak some English. Should also consider a slightly longer period of time at the bamboo forest and tour could end around 5pm-530pm.

What To Expect

The heart of Japanese traditional culture, Kyoto transforms into an even more dramatic masterpiece during autumn. This day tour will give you the chance to see its most noteworthy sightseeing spots during this glorious season. After getting your bus ticket, you'll head to Daikaku-ji Temple, a Shingon Buddhist temple of exceptional beauty and one of the highlights in Tokyo. Originally a palace of Emperor Saga, this dazzling sight captures the most elegant of traditional Japanese architecture and rich with foliage that would turn russet and yellow shades in the autumn. Then you will head to Arashiyama, filled with so many temples and shrines, but most famed for its spectacular Arashiyama Bamboo Grove. This picture perfect spot has been featured in movies and is one of the highlights for a visiting traveler who wishes to take photos in its elegant ocean of bamboo. Then you will head to Ninna-Ji Temple, one of Kyoto's World Heritage Sites, and the head sect of the Omuro School of Buddhism. Its elegant pagoda rises high and is a sight to behold in the autumn colors. Next is the Tenryu-ji Temple which, as its name suggests, is a heavenly sight with its vast grounds full of foliage, and is one of Japan's most iconic sightseeing temples. This is a day of immersing yourself in Japan's rich and multi-faceted culture while enjoying the tranquility and beauty of Kyoto's autumn splendor.

My original date for my booking was for 11/26. Klook emailed me and said it was fully booked and if I can changed to 11/27. I agreed. Afterwards I still received a voucher for 11/26. I went to my tour on 11/26 and was told my tour was on 11/27 even though the voucher had clearly stated it was on 11/26. I ended up sitting in the temporary isle seat for the entire duration of the tour on a full bus with my family member who are over 70 years ago. Needless to say I was not impressed.

This is terrible that we were only informed that the tour is in Japanese when we arrived at the bus station. We have to spend extra money to book another tour in English.

The tour was nice, however, we were not advised that the tour was only for Japanese tourists since the guide is only using the Japanese language so we didn't understand anything. We just enjoyed the view.
