What To Expect

Seoul, being the capital of South Korea, is home to many important historic sites and locations. This 2.5 hour walking tour will bring you to some of its most noteworthy stops that you may have missed. By walking, you'll get right up close and experience a real journey into Seoul's history. After meeting up with your English speaking guide, you'll head to Gwanghwamun Plaza. This is a public open space that has been central to the community for centuries into Korean history, and was only in the 20th century when it became a 16-lane roadway. Then you will be able to tour Gyeongbok Palace, considered as the main palace during the Joseon period. You'll get the chance to see Gyeonghoeru, Sajeongjeon, and the National Folk Museum while here. Then you will head to Jogyesa Temple, which is considered the center of Korean Buddhism. Then you will walk to Insadong, one of Seoul's brightest attractions, specializing in cultural crafts, where so many items can be purchased as mementos of Korean cultural history. This is the perfect way to experience Korean culture, and even hear some funny stories!

Guided tours for palaces and temples is really a must so one will better appreciate the history of one place. Gyeongbukgong palace is a place to behold. Its big beautiful and grand. Jogyesa temple at the time we went is very festive. I dont know what they are going to celebrate at that time but its colorful and wonderful.

Amazing views of the temples and have learned a bit about korea's culture. We also appreciate the effort of the tour guide for explaining everything that we see inclusing singing a song for us.

I don't know how to spell her name, but our tour guide was very nice and polite, learned new things from her, from history to being street smart in Seoul. I loved the places she took us to.

It was a great tour, very educational. And best of all, our tour guide (Park) was great. He spoke perfect English with an American accent and was able to convey and explain information about the places we visited. He was very accommodating of our questions. The pace was also good though it was a bit of a walk (which was expected anyway). Timing wise, it was also good as it ended just in time for lunch at Insadong where we had many choices of places to eat.

Surprised to have meet up with Lisa , a tour guide we had previously , she was very helpful in telling us where to get the best photo spots and explain in details the history of the palace tour , she also recommended us a nice place to go for ginseng chicken soup

Since it was a very cold morning, our tour guides let us rode a car going to the temple and the palace. Hanna was really good at explaining to us the history of the palace. But it was a fast-paced tour so we were not able to take too many photos. But overall, it was a good tour!

We had Nancy for our walking tour. It was well paced and we got to see a little of everything with just enough details of the history of the palace and the culture! We had a fun tour group so it felt like a trip with friends and Nancy was very accommodating. Highly recommended, wear comfy shoes!

This was a great, albeit fast, tour. Led by the gracious and well-informed Kelly Choi, the tour covered a few of Seoul's most important sites. She was flexible and easy-going - couldn't ask for more in a guide.

We were late for our tour because of the unexpected surge of tourists at the immigration counters at the airport. But our guide, S.P. Patiently waited for us and even accomodated us for an entire tour of the city despite the limited time. He even brought us to a local restaurant which served really delicious local korean food!

We enjoyed the tour - we were combined with the full day group although we signed up for the morning walking tour only. We get to see a lot of the gyeongbokgong palace and our tour guide, Michelle, was helpful. Our group ended up to be slightly too big (more than 20) and made it difficult to be flexible.
