Reviews summaryThere's an entrance fee of 25 PHP per person at the pier. Once inside the building, simply show your voucher and passport at counter (1) and drop off your luggage (2). We paid 100 PHP for our large bags. Then, we waited at Gate 8 for boarding. Our ticket had assigned seating. We booked business class seats, which were spacious and comfortably air-conditioned, with an onboard restroom and a TV showing movies. The journey took 2 hours to reach our destination. I highly recommend it; it's convenient and easy to use.
Though the port were very crowded due to Chrismas season the trip went smooth and easy. The two hours travel was very relaxing, we have very comfortable seats and much space. We are very happy to book this trip here .
The service is outstanding, the crew are very friendly and approachable, and it is easy to deal with them. It's very fast. Just 1-2 hrs travel from Cebu to Bohol. Overall, it's a great experience. Highly recommended.
We stayed at a resort in Alona Beach. The travel agency sent a WhatsApp message the day before, stating the meeting time was 9 am. However, the tour guide called at 8 am saying they were already at the meeting point and that 9 am was for picking up people at another location. Fortunately, they came to pick us up at the hotel in the end. Luckily, there were only three people in the entire tour group. We went to the Chocolate Hills, rode ATVs, and the instructor helped us take a lot of funny pictures. Next, we went to see the tarsiers and the man-made forest. Lunch was on a boat with a live band. After lunch, we visited a church and the Blood Compact Monument, which concluded our day trip. Overall, it was quite fun.
Took a day trip from Cebu to Bohol. Since I had booked the 5 PM ferry for the return trip, I enjoyed a chartered island tour in Bohol and returned to Tagbilaran Port before 4 PM. Just like before, check-in was smooth. It seems you have to pay a port fee of 30 pesos here, and there's a counter next to the terminal entrance. After paying the fee, you get a certificate, and when you show it to the security guard at the entrance, you can enter the terminal! The check-in counter is right in front of you as you enter. I asked if I could get on the 4:20 PM ferry, which was one earlier, but it seemed impossible since it was less than 30 minutes before departure (lol). However, the port has a 7-Eleven, souvenir shops, light meals, and cafes, and they were open even in the evening. In the end, I was able to relax a bit at the terminal after a long day and prepare for the 2-hour ferry ride back, so it was great! Rest assured, the ferry and terminal have proper restrooms. Everyone, including the crew, was sound asleep on the return trip (lol)! But! The large bridge near Mactan Island is lit up at night and is very beautiful, so don't miss it! *The arrival point for the return to Cebu Island was about a 10-minute walk south (a little over 300m as the crow flies) from Pier 1, where I arrived on the way there. It's right behind the Cebu National Museum! I don't know if the Tagbilaran to Cebu ferry always arrives here, but I'm including a map photo for reference, as some people might be surprised.
Took the 6:00 AM ferry from Cebu. Arrived at the Pier 1 terminal in Cebu a little after 5:00 AM, an hour before departure, and it was quite empty, so check-in was a breeze! Even early in the morning, the small souvenir shop and snack shop in the waiting room are open, and there's also a 7-Eleven about 100 meters from Pier 1 that's open! Although Google Maps and other sources say that the currency exchange inside the terminal is open 24 hours, when I asked there, they said it's only staffed from around 6:00 AM. I was almost out of cash and quite worried, but after checking in, I found an ATM in the terminal waiting room and was able to withdraw money there. Almost everywhere in Bohol only accepts cash, so it's best to exchange money in Cebu before you go! My ferry seat was an open-air seat outside, but because it got windy, I asked to go inside and they kindly showed me the way. It was a bit cool inside the boat with the air conditioning. The ferry ride is exactly 2 hours, so if you get cold easily, it's good to have a jacket. The large bridge near Cebu (the bridge connecting Mactan Island) is impressive both ways, so be sure to see it from the deck or window!
Thank u for this hassle free booking or Ferry Klook it was hassle free for us because all in one ready just present voucher code to counter check in •We had so much fun Cebu And Bohol till our next Voyage
OceanJet is generally considered a reliable and efficient way to travel between islands in the Visayas. While there can be some inconveniences like crowded terminals and luggage fees, the speed and frequency of trips make it a popular choice for both tourists and locals. Opting for Business Class can enhance the comfort of the journey. It's always a good idea to book tickets in advance, especially during peak travel periods, and be mindful of your belongings at the pier.
Smooth and Reliable Experience with OceanJet I took the OceanJet ferry from Cebu to Tagbilaran and was thoroughly impressed. The service was hassle-free from check-in to arrival. The vessel was clean, well-maintained, and even the toilets were spotless — a rare find on ferries. Most importantly, the ferry was on time, making the journey smooth and stress-free. Highly recommended for anyone traveling between Cebu and Bohol. Efficient, comfortable, and dependable.
The ferry ride from Cebu to Bohol was a smooth and comfortable experience. The terminal was well-organized, with clear instructions for check-in and boarding. The seats were reasonably comfortable, and the air-conditioned cabin provided a pleasant respite from the heat. The journey took around two hours, offering scenic ocean views along the way. While the ride was mostly stable, there were occasional mild waves, so motion sickness medication might be helpful for those prone to seasickness. Overall, it was an efficient and convenient way to travel between the two islands.
