The restaurant is actually quite far from the imperial palace. We have to walk quite a distance to there after visiting the imperial palace. The food is quite nice. But the set meal is fixed. It comes with coffee and we can't change to other drinks. The price we paid through booking is about the same as ordering in the restaurant.

What To Expect

Enjoy a special lunch straight of the Edo Period at Nanko Rest House, at the Kokyo Gaien National Garden. Just a short walk away from the Imperial Palace, the charming restaurant is the perfect place to go to unwind after your trip to the Imperial Palace. All recipes that will be served will be coming from a cookbook that dates all the way back to the Edo Period - so you'll feel like you're traveling back in time. With a “zero garbage” motto, the restaurant uses organic vegetables to improve both the health of guests and the environment. They also use vegetables whole – skin and all – for lunches “good for both people and nature,” making this the ideal stopover after a day of exploring Tokyo.

Impressed, someone in the restaurant knows you. There is a special reserved area with your name. Special explanation is worth a try.

Just hit the chestnuts rice season, whether chestnuts or rice are very delicious. Full three boxes to eat quite satisfied, accidentally eaten sponge cake in the beginning really is my biggest mistake. After dinner there is a cup of coffee and a Dorayaki. There is a meal of chopsticks can be brought home to continue using this pair of chopsticks so good.
