3952 meters of Taiwan's toughest terrain but most rewarding natural views: this two night hike ventures to Mount Jade (Yushan), the highest peak in Northeast Asia. We won't pretend it's not a challenge, but the crisp mountain air, majestic alpine terrain, magical sunrise and overwhelming sense of achievement are well worth the grueling hike. This internationally renowned peak is a popular challenge, but permits must be applied for and being led by a passionate mountain-loving guide will make your life a whole lot easier. Accommodation along the way takes you back to nature as you sleep in mountain cabins, taking you a world away from televisions, Facebook, WiFi… in fact, electricity altogether! But if you're up for the challenge, we've got your expedition sorted.
