The best memory of Hanoi is this rafting on the suburban section of the river. Simply the best guide-instructor in all of Vietnam, Dui, showed all the charms and magic of the river, the bay, and especially its tributary with its picturesque banks. The palm vegetation is so dense that it is hard to believe that you are within the city limits: the effect of being in the jungle!) Dui created a relaxed, virtuous atmosphere, gave useful advice on technique (although I am an experienced sapper), presented the surrounding beauty to the eye. This rafting had only one drawback - it was one-day;) I wanted to go along the river a lot and a lot. In general, 10 out of 10! All lovers of SUP - must visit this activity! Dui - good luck and all the best!)
We recently had the pleasure of embarking on a paddle boating adventure that left us utterly delighted and invigorated! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the warmest smile and hospitality imaginable. Our instructor, Ha, whose enthusiasm for paddle boating was infectious, made us feel right at home from the get-go. Not only was our instructor incredibly hospitable, but she was also remarkably accommodating. She took the time to ensure that everyone felt comfortable and confident in handling the paddle boat, regardless of prior experience and managed to take beautiful scenic pictures of us too. Her patience and encouragement were truly commendable, as she guided us through the basics with precision and ease. What truly set this experience apart was the wealth of information our instructor shared with us. She didn't just teach us how to paddle boat; she shared fascinating insights about the surrounding environment, pointing out various landmarks and wildlife along the way. Her passion for nature was palpable, and it added a layer of depth to the experience that we will always treasure. Overall, this paddle boating experience was nothing short of memorable and ideal. Thanks to our wonderful instructor, I not only had a fantastic time out on the water but also gained a newfound appreciation for nature and the joys of paddle boating. I can't wait to return for another adventure soon! Thank you so much!
Good trip down the river catching the sunset. Our guide Duy is interesting and caring. he showed us the techniques and gave some reminders before we start. River water is reasonably clean. We did it slow and steadily up til the Ao Dai Musuem area. there is a juice break before reaching the musuem. as long as you sit on the SUP you won’t get wet, but standing is part of the fun for SUP so do try to stand up at least once for the pictures. overall is quite fun especially if you play in a group. the only thing to pick on may be the meetup point since it’s quite far out. I took bus 88 (6k) from city centre, took around 45min and then 10 minutes of walking to reach the meetup point. as the SUP ended around 6.30pm,I took a grabbike back to town.
The instructor is very friendly! Ask her anything about Vietnam water sports and she will give you a comprehensive answer! The place is very scenic . Stand up paddle boarding is very fun !
A very nice and friendly coach.. He explain everything in detail and very helpful during the whole course..
So so so fun! Our instructor, Le, was so fun and helpful to be with, we all learned a lot and enjoyed <3
Meet up point was a hotel which waa quite remote. We got there at 2.45pm as advised and waited around at the pool area. Our guide Thu (Jerry) brought us to the storage area where we got our gear (life vest, locker for bags, phone landyard, dry bag) and we had a quick lesson on land on handling the SUP and the paddle. Next up came the actual activity on the river. Not difficult, current was mild. Some waves if a quick speed boat was passing so sit tight. Our guide Thu (Jerry) was really nice and kind throughout the whole activity, stayed near us, especially at the start since one of us couldn't swim. She took many photos and videos for us and as she spoke great English we were able to chat with her throughout the time on the river. Super fun! It started raining at 5pm and the rain got heavier so we had to suspend the activity and get a taxi back to the hotel. When we got back we found out our slippers got washed away from where we left them near the starting deck 😂 you might want to leave your slippers near the lockers. Overall a great fun activity, recommended! Just be prepared if coming during the rainy season.
It was a great time with Duy. I recommend it to anyone who wants to have a unique experience such as having many conversations, learning more about Vietnamese culture and nature, taking a paddle around the Tác River, seeing the water coconut forest, drinking passion fruit juice, and taking pictures!!
In Taiwan, it costs a few thousand yuan, in Vietnam, it only costs a few hundred yuan
A wonderful experience that was worth every penny spent! The weather was perfect and the river was calm. The tour guide was with us all the way and even took amazing photos of the whole trip. I’ll definitely do this again 😁
