Australia's largest sand island, Fraser Island, is home to beautiful beaches, creeks, sand dunes, a shipwreck, forests and swamps, and of course - whales. The 4 day, 3 night tour gives you a chance to watch the majestic mammals, and go on the 4WD ranger guided tour of the island's iconic landmarks. On day 1, travel to the departure point in Hervey Bay where you'll take the 50 minute ferry to Kingfisher Bay Resort and Spa. Spend the first day settling in - check in, explore the resort and relax. The next day, wake up bright and early for the half day whale watching tour. Take a boat from the boarding location and travel out to the open seas to try your luck at spotting the mighty whales. The half day tour ends at noon, and you'll have the rest of the day to yourself. To make the most of day 2, you can check out other eco-guided tours or just enjoy the resort's facilities. On day 3, go on the 4WD ranger guided tour of Fraser Island's Beauty Spots. Visit Eli Creek, Lake McKenzie, Maheno Shipwreck, Wangoolba Creek, Coloured Sands, Central Station, and 75-mile Beach, where you have the option to take a sightseeing plane (at own expense). During the tour, you'll also be treated to a buffet lunch at Eurong Beach Resort. Finally, at 4:30, return to the resort to enjoy the rest of your stay. The next day, check out from your resort at 10:00am and travel back to Hervey Bay via the Kingfisher Ferry.
