Truly worth a visit when in Granada. Our assigned time slot to enter the Nasrid Palace was 8:30am and we were let into Alhambra at just around 8:30am, then a scenic walk to Nasrid. Don’t forget to bring your passport or ID used to book this. Just a bit strange that they scan your passports at every area. We thought it would just be at Nasrid since not everyone pays for this but it was scanned at least 3-5 times.
Alhambra is a must see. I did as a day trip from Madrid via train. eventhough I was able to make it , but I almost missed the entry time to the NASriz palace due to Alhambra is big and the signage can be confusing. Allow at least 2-3 hours to enjoy the Alhambra.
Alhambra is very big and beautiful. wear comfortable clothes and bring water. what I did not like is the lack of instructions to what entrance should you line up for. It’s very confusing. We ended up walking back and forth to the Generalife (which is located on other end of walkway) then going back since you have to enter first at the Palacios Nazaries. Please put clear arrows to the entrance since staff can be unhelpful.
If you book through Klook, you need to exchange your voucher for a ticket on-site before entering. Klook doesn't clearly state this, and it's recommended that they improve this missing information! It's advisable for travelers to go to the Welcome Visitor Center - Alhambra Online - Granavisión, located next to the entrance, in advance to exchange their vouchers for tickets. Our actual booked entry time was 9 AM, but thankfully the actual entry time after exchanging the voucher was 10 AM; this 9 AM to 10 AM period served as a buffer for exchanging tickets. The Alhambra is indeed very beautiful and worth visiting!
Booking tickets through Klook was effortless. Everything was confirmed instantly. GranaVision's organization was top-notch: We received a helpful WhatsApp message the day before our visit with clear instructions to download their audio guide app. Collecting our physical tickets (including our pre-allocated Nasrid Palaces time slot) was quick and hassle-free at their easy-to-find office. The included audio guide app was excellent- comprehensive, easy to use, and essential for understanding the vast complex at our own pace. It really brought the history to life. The entire Alhambra is breathtaking: the awe-inspiring Nasrid Palaces, the serene Generalife gardens with their water features, and the imposing Alcazaba fortress. Every corner was magnificent. Highly recommend this Klook package!
Enchanting and gorgeous castle with lots of history! Must be top of list in Granada. A long beautiful nature hike up to the entrance. Alternatively, take taxi or the tourist tram up.
The beautiful cityscape and magnificent gardens of Granada. We spent about 2 hours there, entering at 10:30 AM. We explored the Islamic-style palace interior, and from the balcony, we enjoyed the beautiful streets of Granada. In the courtyard, familiar flowers like salvia and coleus were in full bloom, making me wonder if there's a shared aesthetic sense between Japanese and Spanish people. Don't forget to bring water for your morning exploration, as it can get hot!
must go experience. very big palace and really worth seeing. Just remember to wear hat and sunglasses especially during summer time.
