What To Expect

A temple stay in Seoul's International Seon (Zen) Center will open your eyes to a new level of meditative experience that will be beyond the techniques taught in any other temple stay. People from all over the world come to this center to raise their mental and spiritual awareness through meditation. The facility specializes in teaching and practicing meditation, with a focus on the practice that far surpasses that of any other temple in the area. Depending on your package of choice, you'll be able to come for the day or experience a 2 day 1 night stay with scheduled activities, with particular focus on meditation and Korean Buddhist practices. You'll experience sitting meditation, walking meditation and group meditation. You will be taught correct mental and breathing techniques to further refine your meditation. This is a truly tranquil, relaxing experience that will center your spirit.

Additional Information:

  • Children under the age of 13 are not permitted to join Focusing on Meditation or Daily Templestay. There is no age limit for the other two programs
  • Children under 7 participate for free
  • All minors who are under 7 must be accomanied by a guardian
  • The rooms will be assigned and segregated between male and female
  • If you don't want to share the room and want to have a single room for yourself, a US$30 (KRW 30,000) surcharge is required
  • The temple only serves vegetarian meals
  • Alcohol, smoking, public affection, music, dancing and singing are not permitted
  • Please abide by the Temple's rules and regulations, and maintain the noble silence during your stay
  • Dress code: sleeveless shirts, shorts, short skirts or halter tops are not recommended
  • Please contact us if you wish to stay more than 2 days and 1 night
