Pick up was on time, and it took a little more than an hour drive to arrive. The lagoon is smaller than we expected, and the water smells just like normal water. However, the overall experience is unique. We got to stay there for about 1-1/2 hours. We enjoyed it.

What To Expect

If you're looking up lagoons in Iceland, we're pretty sure the Secret Lagoon doesn't come up very often. That's because when the Blue Lagoon was opened, people completely forgot about this gem - and now it's exclusivity is one of the best parts about it! The Secret Lagoon, Iceland's first swimming pool is a 90-minute drive from Reykjavik, and is definitely the place to go if you're looking for a relaxing afternoon, surrounded by nature. The geothermal pool is at comfortable temperatures of 36-40°C (97-104°F) - a great way to keep warm especially on a chilly day. If you visit during the winter, you'll even get a chance to see the Northern Lights while relaxing in the bath. With convenient transfers from your hotel in the city to the Secret Lagoon, all you have to do is kick back, relax, and take a wonderful dip in the geothermal pool. Just make sure you don't forget your swimsuits!

We missed this tour, we overlooked the pick up time. Though it was our fault but the driver could have atleast approach our reception as he said he was waiting for an hour. Also, when we tried calling the operator immediately after the delay, they gave us false hope that they will refund the tour or alternately give us another tour. We chose the refund option since it was our last day in Iceland already. Now, they informed us to contact klook for the refund since they cannot do it from their side. Now, after raising the concern to Klook, the response is opposite to what the local operator conveyed to us over phone. No firm resolution and consideration. Sadly discouraged with this after being so loyal to Klook for more than couple of years now. Thanks anyways!

The original trip was cancelled due to lack of participants. But you can have refund or change to another date. The place is nice. Relaxing and comfortable.

Secret Lagoon was less busy than Blue Lagoon, and I really enjoyed how peaceful it was for me any my friends. The facilities were great and the staff was very nice and helpful. Water was comfortably warm, although some spots can get too warm - best to move away from those as soon as you can. Great value for money :) I would definitely go back the next time I am in Reykjavik
