Not a large aquarium, but it has everything you need. The shark pool is very distinctive, and the ticket price is worth it, as it also includes dolphin and sea lion shows. When we went, it was the day before a three-day weekend, so there were many families and school trips, and it was quite crowded, but overall it was orderly and didn't affect the visit.

We entered around 10 AM, and the crowd was manageable at first, but it started to get busy within half an hour, so I recommend arriving right when the aquarium opens. Also, the sardine show was the most memorable part. The combination of music and lighting created a truly enjoyable atmosphere. Lastly, I recommend the food court next door. The ingredients are fresh and delicious, and you can enjoy the ocean view while you eat.

Must-see attractions in Ibaraki Prefecture. Driving is recommended due to relatively inconvenient transportation. More crowded than expected since many locals visit. The dolphin and sea lion shows are quite spectacular.
