    Arrived in Guangzhou airport at noon on a Wednesday. Locating URoam kiosk wasa bit challenging since it was on the departure hall. Even though there were only a few customers, it took over half an hour to get processed because the two staff were not knowledgeable about Klook reservations. The app they tried scanning my code kept crashing. The device they gave me took a long time to connect because of some registration issue. The device itself worked decently. However the limitations of Internet access in China (Gmail, Chrome, Facebook, etc.) made connectivity a bit frustrating. Had to find a VPN to get access to most apps. We used the device in Yangzi (SW Guangdong) and all around Guangzhou, and the 4G signal was reliable. The battery lasted about 5 hours before needing to be recharged. Overall, the device and coverage were great but the customer service needs improvement.

  • There is a minimum 3 day charge
  • Day charges are calculated inclusively. For example, if you pick up the device on a Thursday and return it on a Monday, you will be charged for 5 days of usage
  • WiFi devices are usually available. In the rare event that all devices have been booked, you will be notified at least 1 day in advance by email
  • You will be charged for all the days that you are in possession of the WiFi device, whether or not you are using data
  • According to local policy, please present your passport and take a photo of you holding it at the Airport Service Counter when you pick up the device
  • A penalty will be charged for late returns (within 5 days) at CNY35 per day. Your deposit will not be refunded and the device will not be workable if it is returned later than 5 days
  • Customers will be liable for any damage/loss/theft of the device (up to CNY500). Please check the device carefully before leaving the service counter
International Fair Usage Policy
  • Under the Fair Usage Policy, users who use large amounts of data in a short period of time might, without prior notice, have their data usage limited at the discretion of the telecommunications company they are subscribed to
  • Please refrain from watching videos for a long periods of time, or from using a huge amount of data in a short period of time
  • Operator will in no way be responsible or liable for the incurred data limit as per above, and you will still be charged with the appropriate fees during your rental period

Pick Up Process:

  • Present your printed or mobile voucher at the Airport Service Counter
  • You will be required to take a photo holding your passport at the Airport Service Counter per local policy and regulations
  • Pay the CNY500 deposit (cash/Credit Card)
  • Receive the pocket WiFi device and start surfing! Check the first photo below for usage instructions

Drop Off Process:

  • Return the device to the Airport Service Counter
  • Pay for any extra days used (up to 5 days)
  • If you return the device after the 5 day limit, no deposit return will be made
  • Your deposit will be returned if the equipment is all returned in good condition and the router is returned within 5 days

    booth is hard to find. No sign . if you cant speak chinese its even harder cause no one can understand you when you ask for help. Booth is only available 6am to 6pm ,so if your flight is off this time you will need to do double trip to return the gadget and travel back for your flight . connection is poor in this place of the planet so gadget is useless.

    Super fast! We were different location thru help of GZ Metro which we can access with use og this 4G wifi! This is simple the best!

    The pick up and drop were a little bit hard. When we returned the device the staff was not there. But luckily we still get our deposit money back, they sent us via Wechat Money after a week.

    Pick up is not at the arrival hall, you have to go up to the departure hall at the 3rd level near gate 8 Terminal 1. Look for the Uroaming sign, they co-share the location with a luggage storage. Girl at the pick up counter is very rude and cannot speak english at all. If you cannot speak Mandarin, she will ignore you and you're questions. Best if you can speak in Mandarin or if you have someone with you that can. Pick up opens at 6am. Return of the device is only until 6pm at the same counter in terminal 1. Take note of this. If you arrive late, you cannot get back the 500 Yuan deposit. We were able to get our refund back from terminal 2, which operates 24 hrs. You have to tell the girl at the terminal 1 that you will be returning the device in terminal 2. There is a free shuttle from terminal 1 to terminal 2 and vice versa. When we picked up the device, battery was totally drained. Best to always bring a powerbank with you. Signal was very slow. Mainly stayed in the city.

    Speed is good, though sometimes the signal goes on and off...? But so far this is the best option for internet in china... will use again when I go back..

    I was able to get the wifi at Terminal 1, in front of Gate 8. The wifi is fast, and there are no intermittent connections during my use. The battery life is too long that it still has full charge until I go back at night. I’ll definitely recommend this to anyone visiting gz.

    BUY THIS WIFI ROUTER AT YOUR OWN RISK!! Totally not recommended at all .. Changi WIFI is hassle free option if you are a Singaporean Arrived at the Baiyun airport 12.20pm n cleared all immigrations @ 1pm on 20 sept With Klook driver waiting for me - max waiting time 40 mins Scrambled n running around the airport to pick up my WiFi router - Nobody in the terminal seems to know where’s the counter GAVE UP ..& moved on without even picking up my TWO WiFi router which I bought from KLOOK.... ended up activating my Telco data roaming. Filing for refund since September ... very slow in their investigations Please GIVE ME BACK MY $$ .... From a SUPER UNHAPPY CUSTOMER !!!!

    I don't have any good comments in this wifi. The airport terminal is so huge I find it hard to locate the said counter. Why can't you just say that it is located in the baggage storage at Gate 8, terminal 1? Everybody is confused when I showed the details to the airport staff. My device is defective and customer service is not even responding. I did not even used the wifi at all and booked it for 5 days. Waste of money!
