Reviews
Salzburg is beautiful, seeing birthplace of MoZart and where scenes of Sound of Music were filmed, just perhaps a bit too touristy with crowds galore on a Saturday. The Wolfgangsee Lake tour makes up the price of package - listening to songs of Sound of Music while you travel through the lake in 45 minutes.
Well organised tour with about 60paxs on board (top and bottom seating). Meeting location is easy to find. Tour guide (Ms. Hana? Can’t remember the spelling) was well spoken and clear in her explanation. Her voice over the speaker is very soothing 😌. The trip to Salzburg was about 2-2.5hrs one way. We spent 4 hours of free and easy once we reached Salzburg. Ms. Hana offers a 30mins orientation of the place towards the beginning of the tour before we split. She will share which legit cholocate to buy 😌. Salzburg is a beautiful town worth visiting especially with the Christmas Markets! Reminder to bring your passport along as it will be checked during boarding of bus.
On the Eagle’s Nest and Berchtesgaden tour, our tour guide Katharina was very informative and friendly, she provided us the history of Munich while on our way to the Eagle’s Nest. The entire itinerary was very spaced out, with a lot of free time to go around Eagle’s Nest, along with eating lunch and having the option to go to the museum in the area, although the museum would need a bit more of time for you to go through. In Berchtesgaden, we were also given free time to go around the town. Our bus driver was also really good in driving! For the Salzburg and Lake District tour, we were originally given 3 hours to go around Salzburg, however due to traffic, was around 2.5 hours left to tour the beautiful city. The private boat ride is a must ride despite the extra fee.
This is a well organised day trip with two stops. Both Salzburg and St. Wolfgang are very beautiful. Our guide Monica was responsive through the whole trip and explained everything with informative insight. This trip was intensive and for me, I would like to spend a few days there if there is another chance in future!
We had a wonderful time with guide Monica, who was very informative with the histories and informations. She stayed with the group most of the time to help us with the directions and meeting places and good recommendation for food and Mozart chocolates. We are blessed on that day with a wonderful and beautiful weather and safe and smooth journey in the bus with our driver Boris. The boat ride was totally a romantic one🥰 with my husband. I highly recommend this relaxing day trip from Munich.
great! it’s actually cheaper to book directly from the tour group. the tour is informative and interested. for those that love sound of music should considered this .. there’s a lot of free time to talk around freely
The short one-day itinerary in Austria was a little rushed, but the tour guide Jacqueline was still very enthusiastic to introduce us and remind us of things to pay attention to; make sure you have your passport with you, because if you are really late and cannot keep up with the tour guide's car back to Germany In Munich, at least you have proof of identity to arrange your own transportation; there are two former residences of Mozart. Walking through the streets of Salzburg, you will see Seit 803, a restaurant with a very long history (but the overall evaluation does not seem to be very good). Lots of chocolates and cafes; the curry wurst at the snack stall is great! If you want to go to the mountain, you can take the cable car. St. Peter's Church is very exquisite and beautiful inside and outside, allowing people to admire it quietly. Outside is a cemetery full of flowers and plants. The tour guide said a few words in a normal voice and was introduced by the locals. People denounced it as indecent and didn’t like other people discussing it here; after that, I got on the bus and went to Lake Wolfgang, walked through the historical district, and saw the venue for “The Sound of Music Everywhere”. The lakeside was also very beautiful and made me forget to leave~
It is highly recommended, but you must remember to bring your passport. The tour guide is very attentive. There are audio guides in different languages on the car, although not every seat can be used. The all-English tour guide still recommends that you have a certain level of English proficiency before participating, but the tour guide is very careful to remind everyone of the gathering time many times and try to tell stories and guide everyone in a simple and clear way. I think the CP value of this trip is very high, because I originally planned to go there by myself, but it was very troublesome to take this trip directly to Salzburg. In winter, I did not go to the lake area, but Salzburg is enough to visit for a whole morning. There are toilets on the tour bus, but they can only be used while driving.
Experience with tour was very good...But with klook im disappointed. There is no proper clarity on meeting points given in their billings. So it becomes very difficult to meet up at meeting points. Not only that no tour operators names are written which again makes it difficult for people to go to the said meeting point.
The tour was well organised and the place is so so beautiful. The cruise tour was amazing. The tour guide was explaining and introducing our along our journey. The current fee for the cruise is €15 instead of €13.
