I was planning to sightsee on my own, but I'm so glad I chose this tour. On the day of the tour, it ended up being just the two of us in a taxi. Our guide, Sue, was very informative and helpful, and we learned a lot about history. We also went to a slightly upscale souvenir shop, but we also went to a local supermarket, which was cheaper and where we bought a lot more. I was very satisfied that she took us to the Michelin-recommended pho restaurant that I wanted to go to. She also booked a recommended massage parlor for us, which was a great help.
It was my elderly mother (71 years old) and my daughter (42 years old)'s first trip to Hanoi. We didn't have time to go to Halong Bay, but we were looking for a tour that would let us understand Vietnamese culture and history as much as possible and that could be done in a small group without any stress. As a result, it was a great choice. The interpreter, Duy, is a veteran and not only knowledgeable, but also adjusted the tour so that we could go around the tourist spots efficiently without any stress. We were very satisfied with the tour information and the famous pho at the last stall. We weren't interested in shopping, but the high-end souvenir shops (we enjoyed the explanation of the folk crafts even if we didn't buy anything) and the supermarket (distributed goods and cheap tea for ourselves) were a good way to take a break. I think Hanoi would be tiring from the crowds and moving around without a guide. Overall, it was a very good value tour.
The guide and driver were very kind. They explained to me in detail about the history of Vietnam and the history of pottery, which sparked my interest. They also took me to a delicious chocolate shop and a local supermarket, and gave me some recommendations for souvenirs, which was very helpful. They took me to a Michelin restaurant for pho, which was delicious. It was a wonderful trip to Vietnam. Thank you very much.
We participated in a half-day sightseeing tour of Hanoi. On the day, it was like a private tour for just the three of us, so we were able to enjoy it at a leisurely pace. Our guide, Kyau, gave us a very thorough and easy-to-understand explanation, and the driver also supported us when getting in and out of the car, which gave us a sense of security. When we stopped at a local supermarket, the guide was very kind, telling us about recommended products and helping us find the items we were looking for. The pho restaurant we visited at the end was also delicious, and although the seats were small and shared, we enjoyed that as a local experience. Overall, it was a very satisfying tour.
The hotel wasn't in the Old Quarter, but they said they would have picked me up if I had told them. Without a guide, I wouldn't have learned anything about Hanoi's sights. Plus, I got to visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum when it was least crowded! I highly recommend it.
Perhaps because we were the only two participants, we traveled by taxi. Although there was a drawback in that we couldn't leave our luggage in the car while sightseeing, it was a new experience for me in a way, as I had never used a taxi on any of my previous optional tours. Our guide, Sue, was a nice person.
When sightseeing in Vietnam, without a tour guide, there are no highlights or explanations, and it is difficult to understand the historical parts and background. I asked the guide about various things on the first day, and my understanding of Vietnam's history deepened. Japanese guides seem to be hit or miss. I can't choose though.
It was great to be able to visit the main tourist sites in Hanoi efficiently. The guide was also resourceful and wonderful. I was very satisfied with the pho for lunch, as it was a famous restaurant I had wanted to go to. I would definitely use Klook on my next trip.
The guide was very friendly and it was a great tour. In particular, he calculated the busy times at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and arranged for us to arrive just before 11am, which allowed us to tour the city smoothly. Thank you very much.
Both the guide and the driver were very kind. I was grateful that we were able to get around the tourist attractions efficiently. I recommend it.
