What To Expect

Discover the stories of Thai culture and history at two inspiring Bangkok attractions with individual ticket or on one combination ticket. At Ancient Siam, you'll feel as if you've walked through the entire Thailand in a day. The 'city', one of the largest outdoor museums in the world, is essentially a scaled-down version of the country, with many replicas and reconstructions of Thailand's historically significant structures. See temples, palaces, and shrines, and feel transported back in time as you make your way around the grounds. A colossal, three-headed elephant dominates the structure of The Erawan Museum. The attraction houses a variety of collections owned by museum owner Khun Lek Viriyapant, offering a look into local heritage, customs and craftsmanship. Both inside and out, it's a fascinating space and well worth a visit.

The Museum was fine, a little touristy though. But the experience is one great part of this attraction and its definitely worth the price.

The place is spectacular. The sights are picturesque and getting to and from each locations is very easy since bicycles are available. Its a whole day must activity. Would love to recommend this to my friends.

Erawan museum is a great attraction. Audio-guided english tour is very well-structured and even if it is just small, there are lots to be seen in the museum. Numbered guides on the floor should be more visible for audio-guided tourists to see them immediately. I had some trouble finding the markers but i found them anyway so no trouble, really. Staff are great with good english. 5 STARS FOR ERAWAN Ancient City is very quite far from Erawan. There should be regular hourly point-to-point transfers and not just one schedule. Staff at the entrance are great. Very accomodating. Ancient City tram tour is not enough for people to go see everything in the outdoor exhibit. I should have taken the bike option. Tour guide in the tram speaks in Thai. I did not understand a single thing except for when he is telling the name of the exhibit. Not enough time to glance and see all of the exhibits and I was not able to play all of the recordings in the audio guide. 2 STARS FOR ANCIENT CITY

We really loved Ancient city while Erawan museum is not that spectacular. However it is worth a stop with the combined Klook ticket and it is on the way to the Ancient city. But leave yourself plenty of time for the city as it is vast. You need at least 3-4 hours to visit it, but can easily spend the whole day. The ticket includes free bikes to get around or the tram-bus.

Things I like about this place: Convenient and access
  • Danie* 2 Jul 2017
Erawan museum is small, as expected of the lower price. We visited it first. Although small, the interior of the Elephant Tempe is amazing, totally worth the money. Especially the altar at the top floor, it's like those you see in RPG. We took metered taxi to Ancient Siam after that. It is a spectacular place for taking your spouse or couple. I and my wife rode bicycle for hours, and took pictures in front of each structures. We had a lot of fun.

We got the Ancient Siam Package. We really enjoyed biking around the area and looking at the amazing replicas of Thailand's most treasured heritage sites. If you only have a few days in Thailand, I highly recommend this as a first stop. The only problem we had was the transportation from Ancient Siam to the city center. We had a hard time getting a taxi; some Thai taxi drivers are really the worst! If you did not rent a car / tuktuk/ baht bus, it's better to leave early so that you won't have a problem in getting a taxi. Maybe Klook should also offer transportation packages.
