What To Expect

Discover the stories of Thai culture and history at two inspiring Bangkok attractions with individual ticket or on one combination ticket. At Ancient Siam, you'll feel as if you've walked through the entire Thailand in a day. The 'city', one of the largest outdoor museums in the world, is essentially a scaled-down version of the country, with many replicas and reconstructions of Thailand's historically significant structures. See temples, palaces, and shrines, and feel transported back in time as you make your way around the grounds. A colossal, three-headed elephant dominates the structure of The Erawan Museum. The attraction houses a variety of collections owned by museum owner Khun Lek Viriyapant, offering a look into local heritage, customs and craftsmanship. Both inside and out, it's a fascinating space and well worth a visit.

I chose only Ancient Siam. It is massive & rich in history & culture. easy to get to via BTS to Bang Na or Samrong. Any of the BTS stop closer to Samrong hop into a metered taxi or grab/uber. The fare would cost roughly B140-150 for a 30 mins ride each way if u choose metered taxi or uber. redeem your voucher at the counter. The ticket allows u to choose either tram or bike & complimentary audio. I rented a golf cart for first 3 hours at B150 each hour. U won’t need 3 hours if u are not someone who loves taking photos. I stayed extra 2 hours on a bike until after 6 pm. The taxis back to BTS are outside. Just choose metered taxi. The thai taxi drivers are friendly & nice. Disappointed parts - the audio does not sync with some of the architectures & the staff could not interact in English hence they could not understand u that well. Also no free shuttle service to BTS. Overall experience is amazing as i am an adventurous person & i love history, cultural & architecture. Recommended tour!

The place is beautiful, the entrance fee isn’t cheap, so using klook was so helpful. I also redeemed some points, with that kinda gave me more discount. Redemption was easy too.

A great way to see all the important temples from across Thailand and few not even in Thailand. Pretty easy to get to from Samrong BTS and new stations in the coming years will get even closer. Would have gotten more stars but as stated by others, the audio guide sucks, half the places are not in there and the supplied headphones cut out. We used our iPhone ones and left the other ones behind.

We visited Erawan Museum first. Hardly any tourist around. Lots of statue of elephants. The biggest one was a three headed elephant, which is the main museum building. The Ancient Siam is another 30 mins drive away. The place is huge, we hired a golf cart for 300b for one hour.

We spent more time than expected in Erawan museum. Ancient siam is big, but the time management of the tram tour was not good. It wasted time waiting for late visitor at each stops, and eventually it didn't stop for the floating market because running out of time. The tram driver only intro the sceneries in Thai language, didn't even announce the stop time in English.

We went to Erawan Museum first before the ancient siam. We were impressed by the beauty of the detail sculpture of the inner part of the Erawan museum. It worth the visit. Need to wear proper clothing with covered shoulder and knee. They providing sarung to wear if your dress is too short. There are 3 level to visit, we nearly miss the underground section. For ancient siam, it is too rushing to travel only via the tram. Unfortunately the tram driver giving explanation in Thai language. The audio guide does not cover all spot and I didn't see the related numbering for each spot. So the audio guide is not helping. It would be a good spot for photography as the exterior of the building looks nice.

If you don’t have time to visit the most popular sights in Thailand, Ancient Siam is the best place to go. Replicas of the best attractions and even depictions of popular Siam folklore can be found here. Make sure to allot a couple of hours here. It will take you a while to get around this huge park. You can use a bike for free or ride a tram but with a fee. My Mom and Aunt are both seniors so my sister and I took a 6-seater golf cart for 450B an hours. You can drive it yourself or get a park staff to drive it for you for 200B. Definitely worth the trip out of Bangkok. Erawan Museum was OK but it’s nothing compared to Ancient Siam.

We spent the whole morning there, rented a buggy for 4 and riding around. Great place to explore.

Ancient Siam was pretty good but Erawan Museum is definitely not worth the price. We had good time at Ancient Siam riding bicycles in the complex. The audio guide needs improvement.
