What To Expect

Discover the stories of Thai culture and history at two inspiring Bangkok attractions with individual ticket or on one combination ticket. At Ancient Siam, you'll feel as if you've walked through the entire Thailand in a day. The 'city', one of the largest outdoor museums in the world, is essentially a scaled-down version of the country, with many replicas and reconstructions of Thailand's historically significant structures. See temples, palaces, and shrines, and feel transported back in time as you make your way around the grounds. A colossal, three-headed elephant dominates the structure of The Erawan Museum. The attraction houses a variety of collections owned by museum owner Khun Lek Viriyapant, offering a look into local heritage, customs and craftsmanship. Both inside and out, it's a fascinating space and well worth a visit.

The first place we went to was the museum and we went there using Grab Car as it was quite far from the city proprr. The place looked awesome from the outside and also inside. We took loads of photos. We liked that there was an audio guide available in English to explain what we were looking at and the history of the place. We loved the intricacies of the interior design. Then we went to Ancient Siam which we enjoyed the most. We booked a Grab Car and asked if he could wait for us to bring us back to the city, which he kindly agreed and offered to charge us by the taxi meter. We arrived just in time for the last tram tour around the city and was great for sunset photos. We were not provided audio guides anymore and the tour guide did not explain to us what we were looking at. He was only there to tell us when to get off and back on. That made us wonder if that was the same treatment for earlier schedules. But, nevertheless, we enjoyed looking at the place.

Very nice experience. Not much tourists. Locals go here. We paid 400 baht for our private car to enter the compound.

There were three of us for this ancient city and erawan museum tour. Needless to say we didn’t enjoy the visiting as much as we anticipated. 1) we arranged grab car to ancient city and it’s cost $40SGD which was affordable given the ride was 45-60 mins long depending on traffic and travelling time you wish to start. 2) staff at site wasn’t able to comprehend what we were trying to ask them and there seem to be a communication barrier between us. 3) we missed the free tram which we later took on(conducted strictly in THAI LANG ONLY) and it was approx 2hours if you wish to stay on. 4) since we missed the tram ride upon reaching, booked a golf cart for 4 and paid 600 baht for 2 hours. Audio provided was great but the route and momument buildings were messy so we had to go round n round a few times. And now we talk about erawan museum. Nothing fantastic and mostly outdoor. Same thing applied to the staff there(no English Lang communication) and audio was available in Chinese on the day we visited despite showing us there’s different languages supported. Visiting once is more than enough and this will be the last time I will book via klook. You may wish to look out for the review I left for the Bangkok Chao Phraya river cruise. No thank you.

the ticket can be purchase just mins. before you visit! although the staff there did not have the the proper tools to validate the QR code and they’ve eventually took a pic of the code and sent it to other staff to verify but overall it’s very convenient and good deal too!
