I really wanted to go to Riquewihr village, which is difficult to get to on my own, so I signed up for a tour. It was before the Christmas market started, so about half of the shops were closed, but there were not many tourists, so I was able to walk around leisurely and take photos easily, which was great. The guide was also very kind to me, who cannot speak English. Even with the weak yen, it was a good value for money, so it was worth going.

This is a good tour if you don't want to hire a car and drive by yourself. A very knowledgeable driver guide takes you through well known pretty villages in Alsace in a minibus (max 8) so you get a very private feel. You have enough free time to wonder about at each stop. Highly recommended.
The driver-guide was professional, friendly, and accompanied and explained everything throughout the entire trip. He was gentle, and a good person. Thanks to him! The other members of the group were also great.
