Reviews
If you have ample time in Munich, you might consider a day trip to the Eagle's Nest. However, if your time is limited, I wouldn't recommend spending too much of it there. The Berchtesgaden area, which is often included, is just a small garden and not particularly worth visiting. Perhaps it's added because there aren't many other attractions near the Eagle's Nest itself. The views from the Eagle's Nest are decent, but it wasn't as grand as I had imagined. It turns out that the 'Eagle's Nest' refers mainly to the Information Center and restaurant at the summit, which was different from my initial expectation of a more magnificent and expansive structure. Nevertheless, if you have several extra days in Munich, a visit to the Eagle's Nest could still be worthwhile, especially since the day tours to the Eagle's Nest are relatively inexpensive. I highly recommend booking these day tours near Munich through Klook. It's very convenient, and Klook provides clear instructions. For solo travelers, especially those concerned about safety or wanting hassle-free transportation without rushing for trains or missing connections, joining a Klook day tour is highly recommended. The price is also reasonable.
that so beautiful and beautiful I can’t believe it’s been two months and I’m this was my favorite episode
Had a wonderful day out. Amazing scenery!
A relatively long ride to Eagle’s Nest. The extra cost is the 32€ to go up Eagle’s Nest which would add substantially to the cost. The good part is the visit to Eagle’s Nest and NS documentation centre, and also a visit to Berchtesgaden which is a nice little town.
Amazing Experience at Eagle's Nest! Our tour to Eagle's Nest was absolutely wonderful. The booking process was smooth, the transportation was comfortable, and the guide was very knowledgeable, sharing lots of interesting history along the way. The views from the top were breathtaking, definitely worth the trip! Everything was well-organized, and we felt safe and well taken care of throughout the journey. Highly recommended for anyone who's into history with a fascinating place to visit! --- If you want, I can also create a few variations depending on the tone you want (more casual, more professional, more detailed, etc). Shall I?
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave detailed introductions to Munich's history, culture and salt mine business, brief introductions to the lives of Ludwig II and Hitler, to the origin of the town and the Eagle's Nest.
Excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and informative. The tour also left enough time for me to explore all the interesting sites. The view on top was stunning. You can see Salzburg and Konigsee if weather is nice. However, the site is remote and inevitably takes some time to travel to. Also, you will need to buy tickets (€32 each in 2024) for another bus to go to Eagle's Nest as the bus route is monopolised.
Very passionate tour guide sharing history about the rise of Nazis and the potential dawn of global dictatorship governments. Very scenic drive across Alpine landscapes to see Hitler’s summer retreat, with numerous hiking trails. Bus ride could offer more toilet stops.
very informative N beautiful tour
We had a great time during the entire tour. The lady who was our guide was extremely informative and gave us a lot of information. Her anecdotes were what we were looking forward to after a while during the trip. The overall experience was superb. The ride was good too. The entire tour was done seamlessly.
