What To Expect

Make sure you always have internet access in China with a portable WiFi router that will work anywhere in the country. Keep up to 5 of your mobile devices online by connecting to China Mobile’s 4G network. You can pick up your portable WiFi egg right after landing at Shanghai PVG Pudong International Airport. Simply show your voucher at the counter, complete the registration process by taking a picture with your passport and WiFi device, and paying the security deposit. After that, you’ll be able to connect to the internet anywhere you travel within Mainland China. When you are ready to go home, simply return the device at the airport before checking into your flight. Make sure you don’t return the device late or you will forfeit your deposit!

  • There is a minimum 3 day charge
  • Day charges are calculated inclusively. For example, if you pick up the device on a Thursday and return it on a Monday, you will be charged for 5 days of usage
  • WiFi devices are usually available. In the rare event that all devices have been booked out, you will be notified at least 1 day in advance by email
  • You will be charged for all the days that you are in possession of the WiFi device, whether or not you are using data
  • According to local policy, please present your passport and take a photo of you holding it at the Airport Service Counter when you pick up the device
  • A penalty will be charged for late return (within 5 days) at CNY35 per day. Your deposit will not be refunded and the device will not be workable if it is returned later than 5 days
  • Customers will be liable for any damage/loss/theft of the device (up to CNY500). Please check the device carefully before leaving the service counter

  • Under the Fair Usage Policy, users who use large amounts of data in a short period of time might, without prior notice, have their data usage limited at the discretion of the telecommunications company they are subscribed to
  • Please refrain from watching videos for a long periods of time, or from using a huge amount of data in a short period of time
  • Operator will in no way be responsible or liable for the incurred data limit as per above, and you will still be charged with the appropriate fees during your rental period

  • Your deposit will be returned if the equipment is all returned in good condition and the router is returned within 5 days

    The internet was very slow and most of the time there was no internet connection. There were times where we got lost because the pocket wifi was not working like There was no signal even in main Shanghai city district. The charging cable was also broken, there was one time were we left the pocket wifi charging overnight but when we checked in the morning, it didn't charged at all. If you guys plan to get a pocket wifi, do not book this 4G wifi from klook. Klook provides super low quality pocket wifi.

    The internet was really really slow. The staff told me that they needed to have a deposit of 500RMB, so I ask if they can hold the amount with my credit card, she said can, however once I pass her my credit card, she just charge the 500RMB right away as a transaction, when I clarified with her again, she just said that since it is another country’s credit card, they cannot hold the amount buy charge it, and when I ask for a refund so that I can put the deposit via cash, she just told me that it cannot be done. Worse customer experience ever. The device was also very big and bulky. I do not recommend getting the Wi-Fi from them.

    The wifi was okay- it seemed to just disconnect at times. Also, they require a deposit-which they'll accept credit card for but can only refund in cash so it might be best to have some cash out before hand.

    It was easy to find and it was quite great, but paying deposit can be done only by cash, not credit cards.

    Everything worked fine. However, the staff at the pick-up booth was extremely unfriendly and ignored me to a large extend. Apparently they prefer to serve Chinese speaking customers! Not a pleasant experience...

    I had no problems locating the kiosk for the pick up and drop off of mobile router athough I was not able to fully utilize it. I'm just browsing some sites and the allocation of 500mb fast internet is already gone. 2G internet is too slow.

    The wifi is so slow. It feels like there is no internet. Intermittent connection and slow. Not gonna recommend

    I did'nt get my 4G Wifi. After we arrived at Terminal 2 of Shanghai Pudong International Airport, we immeditely went to the Uroaming Counter, opposite of Security Check, International Departure Hall, Level 3. The lady told us "No, no" which means saying that it is not there where we should pick it up. I asked her where could pick it up but she just asked us to go downstairs. I comfirmed with the security that the uroaming center that I am looking for is the lady's counter. With these, may I request for a refund. Thank you!
