This is the way to go, if you want to see the highlights of the city cruising around in an old military open top jeep is the way to do it in style, Our guide Anni was a bundle of joy and very knowledgeable with our driver Jonny at the wheel we were in safe hands. we saw and learned so much about the history of Hanoi and Vietnam, we met some beautiful authentic people on the tour and enjoyed some delicious food. we had some great laughs along the way and enjoyed it all, I would recommend to anyone considering this just to go for it you will not regret it.
If you want to see Hanoi and see the history, breathe culture and just overall have fun!, then you cannot look past a half day trip on a Vietnam Army Truck! haha. It was such an incredible day from seeing key historical sights, to seeing where Vietnamese people actually live, to experiencing a beautiful hidden gem cafe and of course the best part was actually being there on time to see the train and feeling it within cm's of my body in Hanoi Train Street. The amazing and gorgeous Ria was the best guide for the day and i would recommend her for the best experience and as 2nd in command Han or (Hang) (apologies), who without the day would not have been possible!. This is a must do in Hanoi!
Thoroughly enjoyed our Jeep tour with An and our driver Long, would recommend them both for this tour. An has a great knowledge of Hanoi and local attractions. We booked the morning tour and was able to have coffee on train st, experiencing the 8:50am train up front and close. Food spots were delicious and another Highlight was meeting the old vietnam veteran who spoke about his experiences in the war. Only recomendation would be to wear shoes on wet days as it can get very slippery in certain areas.
I had an amazing day with Johnny and C. We’ve had an amazing meal at hidden gem coffee, one of the best meals on a tour I’ve had in Vietnam so well worth going for a visit even if you’re not doing their tour however I would highly recommend doing the open air jeep tour with Johnny and C. We got to see all of Hanoi including a local home and talking to a Vietnamese man about his home and his life which was amazing also went to train Street and Johnny got us beers and made sure that our beer caps got flooded by the train. It was amazing.
Our Tour Guide was Travis and our Driver was Mr Ming. Travis did an awesome job of keeping the whole trip entertaining by giving us a good and in-depth explanation of the history of each famous destination of Vietnam with great English! Mr Ming was able to being us to each destination quickly and effeciently with safety. Even with the jeep being manual drive, the ride was pretty smooth. Both also took the care and time to ensure everyone was safe. We were even given free ponchos to protect us from the rain. Overall, both of the did a great job to make our experience the best even with the rain.
It was so much fun! I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to visit all the landmarks in half a day. It's perfect for those who don't want a lengthy tour. Riding in the jeep was fun, and it gives you a glimpse into the local way of life. The guide, Lairy, and the driver, Leo, were both lovely, friendly, and provided excellent service. My friend forgot her shoes in the car, and they quickly ran to get them for her. They also took us to a local restaurant to try egg coffee.
This was my first time traveling alone to Hanoi on June 16th. The purpose of joining a tour was to have someone guide me, so an English-speaking guide was perfectly fine. That's why I signed up. I appreciate that the guide, despite politely saying he didn't speak Chinese, was very considerate of my feelings and used Google Translate as much as possible to explain what was happening. I found the guide to be very thoughtful and he consistently shared Vietnamese culture and history with the other international guests. Although I couldn't understand everything, I could feel the strong positive emotions from both sides. So, I want to especially thank this guide. Even though I don't know you or your name, I really enjoyed your company for half the day today. Oh, and by the way, the guide took many of my solo photos today! His photography skills are quite good, haha! 💗
This was a nice afternoon/evening tour, extremely family friendly and great to take young kids on. We have two toddlers and a baby! Mai our tour guide was excellent and super considerate for our young family. Cung our driver was very helpful getting us in and out of the jeep too. Good tour to book if you're arriving in the morning/early afternoon and want to go out and exploring later.
