Nara National Museum Ticket

bought the wrong tickets for adults instead of students ... wasn't able to enter the museum

The Nara museum is a good place to go if you are nearby. Will definitely go again! This is something you should try!

An ok museum. Was cheap to get into but is quite small. The Buddha exhibition hall was most interesting, a lot of good stuff in there. The other part of the museum not no good - mainly scrolls and paintings. Also each temple has it’s own museum (usually about 500yen to enter each one) which have the artefacts specific to that temple. These museums are much better than the Nara National one, my suggestion is skip the National museum and use you money (and time) to enter several of the temple museums instead. The Kofuku-Ji museum and Todaiji museums were both great.
