The Jindo Sea Parting Festival is one of the world's most stunning natural miracles. Taking place every year at the southern tip of the Korean Peninsula, the event attracts thousands of visitors from nearby areas and abroad. After a morning pick up in central Seoul, you'll be transported to the festival location in Jindo, southwest South Korea. Make sure you are there to witness the unusual event when the Jindo Sea opens up to reveal a 2.9 kilometer path that connects South Korea's Jindo Island to the island of Modo. The phenomenon is the result of an extremely low tide, known as tidal harmonics. During the hour that the sea parts, you can take a walk all the way to Modo Island, hunt for clams and shells on the pathway, take incredible photos and simply enjoy being in the middle of the sea without getting your clothes wet. What's more, the event is accompanied by a plethora of cultural performances from folklore concerts and street performances to art exhibitions.
