What To Expect

"Makan" means "eat" in Malay and is an integral part of Singaporean culture. The Makan Bus is your best choice to taste your way around the island like a local! Simply hop onto the bus at Orchard Gateway and ride through the heartlands of Singapore. Without a fixed itinerary and food line up, you will customize where you want to go, when you want to go, and what you want to eat! The Makan Bus will take you to spots where locals head for the best eateries in town such as Ang Mo Kio, known for innovative dishes like Mee Rebus Tarik. You can also try the Crayfish White Bee Hoon at Toa Payoh, or for dessert, have the Strawberry roti prata at Upper Thomson Road. Be spoilt for choice with an amazing variety of unique local dishes to try and taste. Follow the food recommendations provided on the map or simply let the sights, smell and queues be your guide. Besides food stops, you will also pass by landmarks such as the Burmese Buddhist Temple. You will even learn about the history of Singapore and its culture from your English speaking guide on the bus. With buses every 30 minutes, you will have plenty of time to savor each dish without worrying about the schedule. Less traveling and more feasting!

the worst experience I ever had in my trip! I waited almost 40mins at the second checkpoint and the shuttle bus didn't show up. the real time tracking map is of complete useless because the buses kept being showed at the same spot! even worse the company's hotline was unreachable which really drove me crazy! I will never use their service again.
  • Ivan 11 May 2017
It was nice knowing the different dishes and a bit of culture. There are lots of things to improve on especially the shuttle service, probably just make it an actual tour so tourists will not have to wait for the bus to arrive.

Not cost-effective! Worth improving! Only to survive, bus has been late, a lot of time to wait, need to think about the new business model adjustment, or else really expensive! Can you go back
