what an amazing park. we got to do a driving tour where we could feed a bear, lion, horse, and wolf. plus see so many other animals unbelievably close. after the feeding tour we explored the rest of the park and got to feed- red pandas, raccoons, flamingos, elephants, zebras and could have had fed a couple others if we had moved a bit faster. definitely recommend getting the little electric animal cart they have. it’s a bit pricy but it’s a nice way to get around and offers someplace to hold your stuff. they have pandas as well and their exhibit is so cute. the one challenge we had was with the tickets we got from Klook the ticket people wanted a QR code but the Klook order just said we needed our passports. it could have been a language issue but it was a rough start to our morning.
We were at the park for 5 hrs looking at the various animals. The park is spacious and we walk alot to see all the animals. The safari bus was fun to ride in. Entry to park was easy with klook. Just scan qr at gate.
It was such a lovely experience at the Wild Animal Park, and our spirits were not dulled even by the slight drizzle! Would recommend getting on the tram to view the exhibits for the best experience, and to watch the large square show!
Shanghai Wild Animal Park is very large, and walking can be tiring, especially if the temperature is close to 30 degrees Celsius or if you are accompanied by elderly individuals. We highly recommend renting a four-person golf cart upon entry (as there are no other rental locations within the park). Keep the key with you so you can park anywhere and get off to view the animals at your convenience. The park's official website sells admission tickets and animal interaction tickets; hopefully, Klook will offer these in the future. Other package deals are available in the park. I purchased the VIP boat and VIP feeding vehicle tickets, each costing 168 RMB per person. The feeding vehicle is a 20-seat air-conditioned cage car. Each passenger receives a cup of raw meat and apples. Following the park guide's instructions, you use a long metal fork to pass the food through a circular opening in the vehicle to feed fierce animals like brown bears and tigers, which is very exciting and fun. The VIP boat allows you to view animals from a distance along the riverbank. At one stop, you can throw vegetables to a flock of swans, and at another stop, small monkeys jump onto the boat to be fed red dates by staff members. I visited in mid-May, and there weren't many people. The restrooms in the park are squat toilets, which Hong Kong, Macau, and international visitors, especially the elderly, should be aware of.
we absolutely loved this day out. we caught the train to the wildlife park station, then caught the 125 bus to the park. the bus was 2yen. taxi drivers are quite pushy to take you stand your ground the bus is every 20mins. we got to the park with the intentions of hiring a golf cart, only to be told 1 adult 2 kids not allowed, however during the day i saw that combination alot, only difference was they were bot foreign tourists. that was the only negative. 30y pp to feed the animals we had really close interactions which was great. we went on a sunday i was worried abour crowds but the park is so big everyone was very spread out. we went by foot on one half and then the other you can use the busses that go around.
This park is a secret gem in China! We had the best day here and almost to ourselves. We got to see pandas for the first time!! So fun to watch the cubs play! We were able to get in the enclosure and feed Red Pandas, Kangaroos, and Capybaras! We also took the bus tour and fed White tigers and bears through a tiny hole in the window. Such a unique experience. They also have a McDonald’s inside the park. The park felt pretty empty except for school kids on a field trip. We didn’t have time to do the circus show or any of the other shows. Scanning tickets with Klook app was a breeze. We spend 4 1/2 hours there but could have spent the entire day if we had more time. The animals seemed well cared for, the park was clean. Highly recommend going here if you are in Shanghai!
This was the best animal park we had ever been to. it was amazing to see that the animals were mostly kept in large free roam areas. Also the animal shows were amazing although free of charge. The paid circus was world class which you should not miss. overall it was worth every penny.
We had an incredible time at Shanghai Wildlife Zoo Park. The park is spacious, well-organized, and home to a wide variety of animals. A real highlight was feeding the bears and tigers while sitting inside an enclosed vehicle, which was both exciting and memorable! Inside the zoo, there’s also a seal and otter performance, which are fun to watch. Additionally, there’s an acrobatics performance that you pay for separately, but it’s absolutely worth it. The performers kept us on the edge of our seats with dangerous stunts, and we even found our palms sweaty from the thrill! The safari-style areas allowed us to see animals up close in a more natural environment, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained. Highly recommended for families, thrill-seekers, and animal lovers visiting Shanghai!
Children can enter for free but many of the rides are ala carte and not included in the original ticket. Like the VIP experience to feed the animals, the boat ride and the circus show. Otherwise, the Zoo is a good place to see the animal up close! Recommended!
Scanned & went in that was easy! enjoyed most with circus show, feeding the wild animals & boat ride. Slight longer waiting time for VIP boat ride than normal Q as it was a smaller boat. Normal Q boat is bigger (no feeding) so can take more passengers. Total time spent was just nice 930am to 430pm to complete the whole park.
