Reviews
This half day tour is great to end of your trip if u have an afternoon flight. the guide was very knowledgeable, sharing the history of Okinawa. Great effort even though I did not understand most of the content as it is in Japanese. Time at the attraction is quite short, not too rush but also not for chill people.
Very impressed. The grandmother was a great tour guide and even sang for us (her voice was beautiful!). Even though I don't understand much Japanese, I could tell from her tone. The driver was also great, driving smoothly and allowing passengers to sleep comfortably. Sightseeing at the various locations was okay, but I was more impressed with the tour guide and the driver.
This is perfect especially if you are staying in Naha area for a short trip. Our tour guide is very helpful eventhough she doesnt speak English fluently. She's kind and always checking on us. Imagine, we went to 2 locations for a half day tour and the best part is the Okinawa World. We checked the transportation cost and as a couple, we recommend to book this tour instead.
The last day of my trip to Okinawa was an afternoon flight, so I arranged this half-day tour of the southern part. I checked out early in the morning and dragged my luggage to get on the bus at the North Exit Station of the Prefectural Office. The first stop was the World Cultural Heritage Seifuu Utaki. This trip did not include tickets, so I had to buy extra tickets on site, 300 yen per person. After buying the tickets, I followed the Japanese tour guide to visit. It was a very natural place. The stones on the ground were a bit slippery, so I had to be careful when walking to avoid slipping. The second stop was the Cultural Kingdom. There was a Taigu performance at 10:30 in the morning and a venomous snake and mongoose performance at 11:30. If you want to watch the performance, you can pay attention to the time. In addition, I want to remind everyone that the Gyokusen Cave is quite large. If you want to take pictures and walk around slowly, you need to grab more than an hour. The ramen is spectacular and it is a must-see attraction! After visiting the park, there are some souvenir shops to visit! I mistakenly thought that the Gyokusen Cave was small and almost missed the bus back to the airport 😂 I ran wildly in the Gyokusen Cave, super rushed, and there was no time to take photos as a souvenir 🥲
Southern Okinawa Bus Tour on Rado Bus was a total hit! 🚐🌴 The route took us to some tourist spots in southern Okinawa, like the Sefa Utaki and Okinawa world. The bus ride was comfy, and the guide was knowledgeable about the local history and culture, though it was in Japanese 🤓. We had plenty of time to take pics 📸. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to explore the best of southern Okinawa!
It is a very worthwhile in-depth experience. You can see a different Okinawan culture and experience the stalactite caves in Gangara Valley. The tour guide was very responsible and would always remind our group, which one of the attractions in the Chinese guide book (distributed at the entrance) our group did not understand Japanese. Each visitor will be given a bottle of tea to quench their thirst during the journey. On the return trip, guests will be dropped off at the airport and board the flight directly, which is very suitable for friends who are taking a flight in the afternoon. Friendly staff, very convenient. But you must pay attention to which tour you sign up for the second trip. Yuquan Cave and Gangara Valley are in the same place. After arriving at the site, the teams will be separated. Just be careful not to follow the wrong team. (Gongara Valley is recommended for two hours, and Yuquan Cave will be a bit rushed)
Very value for money! Time allocated for each attraction is also just right. However, the guide was talking almost throughout the entire ride from place to place, so could be a little noisy especially for non japanese speakers
We went on this bus tour during our honeymoon. While we don't speak Japanese, it was easy to just use google translate voice to text translation to understand the guide. She was very nice and very well informed. I had been to Okinawa World before as a kid during a school trip but my husband hadn't. He seemed to really enjoy getting to see a bit about Okinawan culture and share in something I used to do as a kid
A highly worthwhile and immersive experience! The visit to the Seifa Utaki provides an in-depth understanding of local history and culture, while the Gangala Valley offers a chance to explore a pristine jungle archaeological site and cave. I was very impressed by the professionalism of the guides; their humor, engaging gestures, and vocal intonations made the entire Japanese-language tour captivating, even though I don't understand Japanese. They were also considerate, frequently reminding our group, who didn't understand Japanese, which site corresponded to which number in the Chinese guidebook. On the return trip, they even drop guests off at the airport for direct access to flights, making it perfect for those with afternoon flights.
This half-day tour is conducted by a Japanese-speaking guide. However, the guide is very earnest and responsible and doesn't neglect to provide explanations just because most of the tour group doesn't really understand Japanese. The guide also re-confirms the meeting time and which attractions require individual ticket purchases with each group of travelers. The itinerary is well-planned; Sefa Utaki is a lesser-known but well-maintained attraction, and Okinawa World goes without saying. The only downside is that the accompanying foreign language audio guide is quite useless, as it receives a GPS signal, so most of the time the guide doesn't receive a signal and the content is unclear. Therefore, if you really want to listen to the guide, you either need to know some Japanese or do your homework on the attractions beforehand.
