Hong Kong is known for its hustle and bustle, but on the other side of town, away from the narrow city streets and hurrying commuters sits Lantau Island, home to expansive nature, traditional culture, and a hidden fishing village. After you redeem your e-voucher for your tour tickets, start off your Lantau tour by meeting up with your English/Mandarin speaking guide at Tung Chung Cable Car terminal. From there, you will board a shuttle bus which will whisk you off to Tai O Fishing Village, where you will take a boat around the waterways between the stilt houses and if you're lucky, you might even catch glimpse of a wild pink dolphin that is unique to the area! Next, you will be taken to Ngong Ping Village, a large artificial village that features a range of tradition Chinese architecture and attractions, including the Po Lin Monastery that was once hidden among lush mountains, and the famous Big Buddha, a giant bronze statue that erects 34m above the monastery. Enjoy some local snacks such as fish balls and tofu pudding at the village before heading back to Tung Chung, a popular shopping district where your day doesn't have to end!
