Really good and informative day. if like me the thought of walking around temples all day sound like a bit of a drag mix it up with this mountain bike tour. It's around 34km with a mix of roads, tracks and off road; but all very flat and safe. Our tour guide really new his stuff; a bit to informative for me if I was to be honest but that's what you pay for and everyone else in our group loved it. The food and drink provided was really delicious a mix of khmer dishes.

Insider Tips

What to wear:

  • Sturdy footwear like sneakers/trainers
  • Comfortable clothing
  • Sunglasses and a hat
  • Bring a camera

Important notes:

  • This cycle is recommended for people with a reasonable level of fitness. However it is 30km on mainly flat tracks with numerous stops for photos, temple exploration and refreshments
  • It is extremely important that you don't hand out gifts, sweets or money to children or villagers as this contributes to the begging cycle, creates jealousy issues and can cause problems

Insider Tips:

  • Cambodia is warm throughout the year, so if you're caught out in the rainy season, the good news is you'll dry off very quickly! Keeping hydrated and protected from the sun is important at all times of yea

Really need to be fit for this. The journey sets off from Grasshopper Adventures office and to the 3 major temples, finally all the way back to the office. All in all is about 38km. It is mostly riding through the forest to avoid traffic on the journey there. You will be taken in awe of the scenic views, but be prepared for bumpy rides, some downslopes and some upslopes. Ample of time with each visit of the temple. Our guide Pat gave us brief history in each of the temples & led us through lesser crowd. He also helped in photography. Fruits were provided after Angkor Wat. Water was provided throughout. Lunch was awesome with local flavors and the guide will try to cater to your dietary restrictions. The last leg will be from Ta Prohm to office on paved road of about 13km. Though speed can be relatively fast, & the heat can be overwhelming, you may ring the bell anytime to alert the guide for a break.

If you’re up for an adventure, have lots and lots of energy, stamina and endurance then book this. You get to appreciate the temples more after long rides into the woods, busy streets and villages. Gear up and make sure you have cover ups if you dont want to get sun burned. Pros: yummy lunch!, well informed tour guide, we’re only 4 in the group, accomadating staff in grasshopper, just one con: not checking/asking other tourist if the cycling speed was okay, not sure if he’s cycling fast, or im just too slow.haha Tour was exhausting but it was worth it! Would surely recommend it!

It was awesome biking experience. I enjoyed a lot at tough biking between temples and local villages, treks are amazing, not easy riding, but sporty and fun. 1) stay away from tourists, guide show us the entry with less people and good views to 3 famous temples in Siem Reap 2) good tour arrangement, treks are fun, lunch is amazing, water and break fruit well prepared 3) informative guide. Yes, with assent, but still understandable for most parts, know local temples betters I enjoyed it, the only advise is, if time allows, better let folks claim to Angkor Wat tower. Rest are perfectly!

I super enjoyed this tour though it is tiring. I got to see up close to different temples in Cambodia. Tourguide Sambo can speak well in English and he is accommodating. Good job!

Good route and guide, talked a lot about political history of Cambodia. Temples were nice, guide was accomodating, bike was in good condition. Lunch, snacks and complimentary water bottle included. However, almost missed this trip, voucher said hotel pick-up, but after waiting for more than 30mins, tried to looked through reviews and found the agency (Grasshopper) called them up using contact details in their website. Apparently, I had to go to their office. Good thing they still havent left. Overall good experience but can definitely be improved, especially in terms of communication/confirmation.
