• Anti-freezing: In low-temperature outdoors, avoid moist skin coming into direct contact with metal objects to prevent skin and flesh from being stuck off.
• Identification documents: Make sure to bring valid identification documents such as your ID card and children's household register (hukou). Foreign guests should bring their passports and residence permits, and Taiwan compatriots should bring their Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents. The aforementioned documents must be presented for boarding flights and checking into hotels during the tour.
• Clothing: Northeast China winter outdoors is around -20°C, indoors is +25°C, with a large temperature difference!! Dressing principle: close-fitting base layers should be quick-drying to prevent sweating, outerwear can be layered for warmth when cold, or worn alone without looking awkward; jackets/pants/shoes and boots should be as waterproof as possible (especially for children, as snow easily gets them wet). Parent-child outfit formula: Tops (4-5 pieces): quick-drying thermal wear + German velvet thermal underwear + sweater/hoodie + down vest + knee-length down jacket (down filling 300g+). Bottoms (3 pieces): quick-drying pants/long Johns + German velvet pants/thermal pants + hardshell pants/ski pants (windproof, waterproof, better if snow doesn't stick and wet them). Shoes and socks: cotton socks/cashmere socks + heated insoles (for those who get cold easily) + snow boots/fleece-lined hiking boots. Shoe sizes should be 1-2 sizes larger than normal to accommodate insoles and thick socks, protecting feet from frostbite. Accessories: fleece-lined hat + scarf + gloves (2 pairs recommended: one pair of waterproof gloves for playing in the snow, one pair of plush touch-screen gloves for checking the phone) + earmuffs + thick face mask (not disposable ones~ windproof). Electronic devices: phones, cameras, power banks, etc., are prone to low-temperature shutdown during prolonged outdoor activity, so keep them in close pockets. Skincare: toiletries, sunscreen, moisturizer, sunglasses (sunny snow reflects strongly and has high glare, UV rays are strong, and indoor heating is dry; ensure sun protection and moisturization). Guests with heart disease or high blood pressure should carry their required medications with them.
• Cuisine: The staple foods of Northeast China are rice and wheat-based dishes. Stewed dishes are also a major feature, with the famous "Eight Great Stews": pork stewed with vermicelli, mutton with sauerkraut, beef stewed with potatoes, pork bones stewed with tofu, mushrooms stewed with free-range chicken, Demoli stewed fish, carrots stewed with pork ribs, and beef stewed with shredded radishes. People from the Northeast like to eat vegetables raw. One way is cold tossed salads, such as homestyle cold salad, where various fresh vegetables are mixed together with bean products and vermicelli, as well as cucumber with mung bean noodles (lapai); the other way is vegetables dipped in soybean paste. Northeast cuisine focuses on salty and spicy flavors, primarily salty, with heavy grease and rich colors, which may not suit your taste. It is recommended that tourists bring some instant food for unexpected needs.
