What to expect
Led by a certified national senior tea artist in Chengdu’s most distinctive Suzhou-style art space.
Begin with ceremonial calligraphy using brush and rice paper. Then craft a unique lacquer fan: write your characters on it, dip it in lacquer, and create your own intangible cultural heritage craft. Explore Chinese tea history, from its origin to each era’s popular tea arts. Learn four major brewing styles—Tang boiling, Song whisking, Ming-Qing steeping, and modern Gongfu tea—plus utensils, culture, and hands-on brewing. Taste several teas and find your favorites. Take home your handmade craft and tea knowledge to brew and enjoy tea at home anytime—a fully immersive experience.
