About the Event

SILK GALA is located in the heart of Suzhou's Gusu Ancient City – Gusu Xintiandi, No. 1755 Renmin Road. It's approximately a 3-minute walk from Beisita Station on Metro Line 4, adjacent to historical landmarks such as Baon'en Temple Pagoda (Beisita Pagoda) and Jiejia Bridge. It can be easily combined with Suzhou Museum, Humble Administrator's Garden, and Guanqian Street for a one-day cultural tour. The venue covers an area of approximately 6000㎡ and is known as Suzhou's "City Cultural Living Room": it features 1:1 handcrafted replicas of the murals from the three national treasure grottoes – Mogao Grottoes, Yulin Grottoes, and Kizil Grottoes, as well as permanent museum-grade Silk Road collections including Northern Qi statues and original works by Dunhuang masters. Stepping inside is like entering a thousand-year-old grotto.

About the Performance

The main show is a large-scale original immersive "Silk Road" cultural themed poetic drama, "The Silk Road All at Once," with a total length of approximately 120 minutes. The performance takes place in a 360° panoramic circular "Dream Theater," where 346 guests surround the central stage, dining while watching the show. The drama unfolds with young Yunchuan's "time-space wandering" as the main thread and a mottled loom as the narrative axis, showcasing historical scenes such as camel bells of merchant caravans, Kucha music and dance, Dunhuang flying apsaras, Zhang Qian's journey to the West, and Princess Wencheng hiding silkworms. The soft melodies of Suzhou Pingtan and Kunqu opera blend with Western Region dances and Silk Road camel bells on the same stage. Actors perform up close at the tables, breaking the boundaries of the stage, but interaction is not mandatory, allowing guests to dine at ease.

About the Banquet

The banquet is a seven-course "Silk Road Feast" that blends the fresh flavors of Jiangnan with Silk Road cuisine. The serving rhythm progresses with the five acts of the drama, with dishes arriving as each act begins, and the show accompanying the meal. All price categories enjoy the same quality of dishes – the only difference is the viewing location, not the food.

Optional Experiences

Optional services include Hanfu changing, makeup, and travel photography, allowing guests to capture exclusive photos in front of the grotto murals, which is very popular with families and female guests.

The entire experience is approximately 2 hours; lunch starts at 12:00, and dinner starts at 19:00; reservations must be made at least 1 day in advance; in addition to watching the performance, guests can visit the Silk Road collection exhibition area on the second floor and the Persian Garden Cafe on the third floor.
