Interesting tour about Seoul's history. The palaces and museum are just around the city. Our tour guide is nice, informative and approachable.

What To Expect

You'll soon be imagining yourself in the days of yore with a tour of Seoul's cultural heritage, from the palaces of royalty to the ancient homes of ordinary people. Choose between two immersive tours and begin either tour with the beautiful pavilions and spacious grounds of Gyeongbokgung Palace. Then, your informative guide will lead you on a guided tour of the National Folk Museum to find out about the daily lives of Koreans spanning pre-historic times to the end of the Joseon Dynasty. Explore the peaceful grounds of Jogyesa Buddhist Temple before settling down for a traditional Korean meal. After lunch you can either experience a Joseon Dynasty throwback when you visit the Korean Folk Village, or see Seoul from a more modern perspective when you visit Insadong and the N Seoul Tower for a panoramic view of the city before heading to a classic Hanok VIllage. Walk amongst traditionally built houses, watch artisans in action at a handicraft workshop, join the audience of a folk performance, and even try your hand at traditional games such as arrow throwing and seesaw jumping!

Our tour guide was Sonya. She’s very friendly and we learned a lot from her. Although the trip/tour was really fast. She made sure our trip’s memorable 😊

Picked up by tour guide was punctual and introduction of the tour was lively. Tour van was cleaned and comfortable. Group was manageable just perfect for two guides in English and another in Mandarin. Went to a Buddhist temple and so some protestor with ply cards outside the temple interesting. Palace was grand.

Excellent sharing by the tour guide about the history of the Buddhist temple and the palace. For the folk village tour, as there were only 3 of us, the tour guide, Kim Chan Soo took very good care of us, wheeling my wheelchair bound mum around. He was also very accommodating when we wanted to cut short the trip due to the rain.

The tour was managed by Seoul City Tour. It was good, but could have been better. It was rushed a bit, with hardly enough time to really enjoy and appreciate the attractions. We loved the Korean Folk Village and the lunch at Insadong.

arrived at an alternative palace which was the smallest to catch the change of guard only to realise that it was temp. cancelled due to summer. if this was the case, would have preferred a change to a bigger palace like changdeokgung palace (UNESCO site) as an alternative itinerary. Day trip ended at 3 as I intended to stay longer till night time at the final spot - Seoul Tower. Cable car tickets not included.

We are a group of 7 people and only 3 people were at the lobby exactly on time because some of my colleagues had to change their clothes because of rain. Mqybe that's why the guide didn't notice us and so we were left. We tried to call klook and their local operator went back for us. Thank you klook for going back for us. Till our next booking. :)
