We were very lucky to have a beautiful and knowledgable tour guide, Chloe. She kept the group well-organized. I loved how she gave the background and history of the places we visited and she gave answers to all the groups questions. She was also very friendly and interacted with the group joyfully and naturally. The tour was made more interesting when it felt more personal for her as she mentioned her favorite places and things to do during the tour. I wish her more success for her future as she is one of the best tour guides on our 10 days trip here in Korea. Our first stop was the Jeongsa Bhuddist Temple. The statues, tributes, displays were mostly wrapped in flowers. There were also some random Bhuddists praying in here. This is one of the rare temples in the city as most of it are located in the mountains. This made for quite an enjoyable experience. We then headed out to the museum and Gyeongbokgung Palace. I really enjoyed the stories and history behind the palace. It was our second time in Gyeongbokgung palace and personally, i enjoyed it more for the 2nd visit. I learned a lot during the Korean Ginseng Museum and Duty Free trip. They sold only one item in the Duty Free where we visited, Red Pine Needle Oil. To be honest, the tour could've done without these 2 places. The ginseng museum was ok however I wish we never had to go through the Duty Free Shop. Although the intent was probably good, it was the least interesting and quite frankly a hard sell on the product. I would've preferred this was removed from the itinerary and instead we were given more time on the next location. We had our lunch at Insadong. This was by far one of my favorite lunch places I've been to. Not only was the meal inclusive and delicious, the ambiance and experience will be something I won't ever forget. The place is quite hip and we planned to go back here again on another day since we couldn't get enough. There are just too many things to see and buy. :) Namdaemun Market is another place for a shopping spree as mostly everything here is cheap. This is another place where I wish we had more time to explore fully. I hope I covered everything. I've been on around 5 tours on our 10 day trip here in Korea and have gotten around a bit. With that, i would still highly recommend this tour. Geonbae!

What To Expect

This full day tour has a choc-a-block itinerary, designed to give you a total Seoul immersion. Marvel at the architecture of one of Seoul's most beautiful palaces, Gyeongbokgung. Resulting from a stormy history, ongoing reconstructions mean you can see original portions alongside modern efforts to restore it to its former glory. Reminisce to bygone days with a guided visit of the National Folk Museum before a tasty local lunch. After you're fully sated, you'll set off to visit palace no.2, UNESCO-listed Changdeokgung, a perfectly preserved architectural example from the Joseon Dynasty. Walk along the serene Jogyesa Buddhist Temple and peruse crafts and antiques at Insadong Street. End the tour with a convenient drop off back at your hotel.

Tour guide was very punctual and very informative . However we have to change to another group midway . Was taken to some Pine Oil place that was not in the itinerary. ( unless that was the Lotte duty free that was stated).

I love Soo! Among all the other tour guides I’ve met in my entire weeklong trip, she’s the most amiable and well-versed in English. I’ve even bumped into her again in DMZ and she’s able to recognize me. She’s very informative and helpful. Also a real well-versed Korean with her own history. She takes beautiful photos also, she assisted us to lunch and even took us off near the N’Seoul Tower Cable Car station afterwards.
